Master of Physiotherapy [MPT] From CMC Vellore, Vellore

CMC Vellore offers admission to MPT program on the basis of score in Computer-Based Test (CBT) followed by the performance in Practical Test and Interview. Out of the total available seats, 50% seats are reserved for Sponsored candidates. The basic eligibility for the course is a BPT degree from Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University or any other university recognized by CMC.

CMC Vellore MPT Eligibility Criteria

For admission to MPT, the candidate must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

1. Candidate must possess BPT Degree recognized by The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University or any other recognized university.
2. Candidates with Service Obligation need to have completed the same by May 31 of the admission year.

Note: A candidate who has already obtained a PG degree in any specialty in MPT or pursuing any PG Course in Physiotherapy in any specialization are not eligible to apply.

CMC Vellore MPT Selection Process 

Candidates have to appear in Computer Based Test (CBT) to secure admission to MPT course. The test will be conducted at Bangalore, Kolkata, Delhi-Noida, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai and Vellore.

MPT Entrance Test Pattern:

Final admission will be granted on the basis of score in CBT followed by Medical Check-up, Practical Test, and an Interview. In order to serve this purpose, CMC maintained two separate merit lists, one for Open category and another for the Sponsored category.

Note: Provisionally selected candidates need to give the acceptance in writing/ in person or scanned copy of acceptance letter through e-mail by the due date.

• Experience Certificate
• Sponsorship Obligation Completion Certificate

How to Apply?

For MPT Admissions, the application form can be filled by following the steps given below:

1. Visit the official website of CMC, Vellore and download the application form.
2. Pay the application fee of INR 1550 (INR 2000 for the candidates of SAARC Countries) through DD drawn in favor of ‘CMC Vellore Association’ on any scheduled bank payable at any branch of State Bank of India, Vellore, Town Code- 1618. Candidates’ name and application number must be written on the back side of the DD.
3. Send the duly filled application form along with DD to:

Admission Criteria for Sponsored candidates 

Those candidates who were sponsored for BPT course in this or any other institution by a member of CMC, Vellore and now applying for PG degree in CMC will need to follow the given regulations:

1. A candidate who was sponsored for BPT course needs to serve the concerned sponsoring body for a period of not less than two years before applying for admission in the Postgraduate program.
2. Any Christian Council or Organization which is a member of CMC Vellore will also be considered as the sponsoring body provided that body does not run the said physiotherapy course.

All bodies that are eligible to sponsor candidates for BPT course are also eligible to provide sponsorship for MPT course provided they do not offer the same course in the hospitals or colleges associated with them.
