DKTE Society’s Textile and Engineering Institute Admission 2024: Cut Off, Fees, Eligibility, Scholarships

At the undergraduate level, the institute offers B.Tech. under two distinct departments namely, Textile and Engineering. The programs are offered for a duration of four years with various specializations.

The sanctioned intake for the above-mentioned courses varies from program to program. The institute also permits admission via Lateral Entry to these programs.

DKTE Society’s Textile and Engineering Institute, Kolhapur B.Tech. Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should be an Indian National.
• Candidate should have passed HSC (Std. XII) examination with PCM and secured a minimum of 50% marks (45% in case of Backward Class candidates) in the above subjects taken together and obtained score in MHT-CET.
• Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).
• Obtained score in MHT-CET conducted by the Competent Authority.

DKTE Society’s Textile and Engineering Institute, Kolhapur B.Tech. Selection Criteria

Candidates those seeking for admission in B.Tech. course must possess a valid score in (MHT-CET). Candidates can also apply for admission on the basis of the JEE Main scorecard.

For the purpose of the final selection, candidates have to register for the counseling. During the counseling process, candidates have to fill the college and course preferences followed by the allotment of seats as per the candidate’s preference and rank.

• 65% admission by Central Allotment Process (CAP) of Government of Maharashtra through MHT-CET.
• 15% admission by Central Allotment Process (CAP) of Government of Maharashtra through JEE Main for MS/OMS candidate.
• 20% admission for institute level quota.

At the PG level, the institute offers an M.Tech. and an MBA for a duration of two years. The former is offered under four specializations-

• Textile Engineering
• Electronics Engineering
• Mechanical (Product Design & Development)
• Computer Science & Engineering

MBA is further provided under two sub-disciplines: MBA (General) and MBA (Textile).

• The candidate should be an Indian National.
• For M.Tech. the candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field with at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra State only).
• For MBA, the candidates must have qualified the Bachelor’s degree exams with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Admission to the M.Tech. program will be granted on the basis of the candidate’s performance in GATE.

MBA aspirants must qualify the MAH-MBA CET to be considered eligible for admission.

MAH-CET Exam Pattern

• The test will comprise of multiple choice objective type questions (Five Options)
• There is no negative marking system for this test.
• Test duration: 150 Minutes
• The medium of CET: English
• Mode of Examination - Online

DKTE Society’s Textile and Engineering Institute Kolhapur Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

• To be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. program, the candidates must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.
• A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, shall be allowed for those belonging to reserved categories.

DKTE Society’s Textile and Engineering Institute Kolhapur Ph.D. Selection Criteria

Admission to the Ph.D. program will be granted on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the Ph.D. Entrance Exam.

The Entrance Test will consist of 50% questions based on Research Methodology and 50% will be subject-specific.

Institute is equipped with a number of scholarships to needy, weaker sections as well as meritorious students.

To apply for admission to the DKTE Society’s Textile and Engineering Institute, the candidates must first apply for the respective entrance exams via the official examination authority.

For the purpose of counseling, the candidates must visit the official website of DTE Maharashtra.

1. Candidate must register themselves at the DTE, Maharashtra website for online counseling.
2. After the announcement of the merit list, the applicant must fill the priorities and visit the allotted Institute.
3. Collect the prospectus from the college office after the payment of the requisite application fee.
4. Candidate must ensure the eligibility criteria for the course before applying.
5. Duly filled in form needs to be submitted at the office along with necessary documents within a prescribed time frame.
6. The final merit list will be available at the notice board of the college as well as online. Candidates must take the updates from the college office.

• Click on “Apply Online”
• Go to “New Registration”
• Enter Name, Contact details, and Email-id.
• Login using the registration credentials.
• Fill in the application form.
• Upload the following documents-

• Pay the application fee of INR. 1000/- (INR. 800/- for reserved category candidates)
• Submit the form.
