Kashi Institute of Technology Admission 2024: UPTAC, Dates, Eligibility Criteria, Selection Process

In Engineering, the institute offers a four-year degree course of B.Tech. in six specializations. Admission to second year B.Tech. is also offered by the institute through Lateral Entry.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination in Science stream with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/ Bio-Technology /Computer Science /Biology as an optional subject for B.Tech.

For B.Tech Lateral entry, candidate must have passed B.Sc. or Diploma with minimum 60% marks from any recognized University.

80% of the seats are reserved for regular B.Tech. and rest 20% are for Lateral Entry.

Admission to B.Tech is done on the basis of UPSEE/JEE Main score.

Admission to B.Tech (Lateral) is done on the basis of LEET Exam.

Remaining seats are filled through institute level counselling for candidates fulfilling the admission criteria.

Key points for B.Tech and B.Tech (Lateral Entry) Admission:

• For the Lateral Entry admission, candidate must hold a Diploma in Engineering or Technology of three-year duration from Board of Technical Education Haryana.
• Candidate have to appear and qualify 30 minutes test for B.Tech admission (MCQ of PCM and Aptitude).

The college offers B.Pharm program to the students.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination in Science stream or equivalent with Physics, and Chemistry as Compulsory Subjects and one optional from the Mathematics/ Bio-Tech/Computer Science/Biology with minimum 60% marks for B.Pharm course.

For B.Pharm (Lateral Entry), candidate with Diploma in Pharmacy and minimum 60% marks is considered eligible for admission.

Selection will be done on the basis of UPSEE score. Whereas for B.Pharm (Lateral), admission will be done on the basis of Direct Admission.

Key Points to remember for B.Pharm & B.Pharm (Lateral) Admission:

• Candidate need to appear and qualify in a 30 minutes test which comprises of MCQs related to PCB and Aptitude.

KIT offers two-year degree course of M.Tech. in two specializations.

For each course, the college offers 24 seats. Candidates need to have a valid GATE score to be eligible for admission.

Candidate applying must have Bachelor’s degree in Technology/ MCA or M.Sc. (Physics) with minimum 60% marks.

Admission to the course of M.Tech. is scheduled as per procedures laid down by the UPTU. Interested candidates have to fulfill the eligibility criteria and should hold valid GATE scores or equivalent grade from a university recognized by UPTU.

Key points for M.Tech Admission:

• Candidates applying for Electronics & Communication Engineering will be selected in the order of preference of subjects at graduation level.
• First preference would be given to candidates holding B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent degree in ECE/ ETE/ EE.
• Second preference is given to candidates holding B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent degree in EE/ Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering/ Electronics Instrumentation & Control Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation & Control Engineering / Instrumentation Engineering / Control Engineering.
• If seats remain vacant, then the institute will conduct admission after charging late fees on the basis of merit.

KIT offers two-year degree program of MBA at the postgraduate level.

The college offers 60 seats. For admission, candidate must have obtained Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) or (10+2+4) from an equivalent board or recognized university.

Selection is done through CAT/MAT score or UPSEE Counselling.

For candidates who want to seek admission through Management Quota, must appear in KMET (KIT Management Entrance Test) followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
