Lourdes Matha College of Science and Technology Admission 2024: Courses, Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria

LMCST offers admission to B.Tech. in Computer Science, Mechanical, Civil, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics through KEAM or Kerala CEE score to the eligible students. The minimum eligibility criteria for taking admission in this course requires candidates to have scored a minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science as the core subjects.

There is a relaxation of 5% marks in the aggregate scores for candidates belonging to the SEBC category if their annual income is less than 6 lakhs per annum. There is no minimum percentage bar for candidates belonging to SC/ ST category.

Key Points for B.Tech Admission:

• Candidates who have passed 10+2 with 45% marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry in the aggregate are eligible through the Management quota.
• Candidates with Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science as their subject in place of Chemistry are also eligible.
• The upper age limit to apply for this course is 17-year for all the categories.
• 50% seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Christian Community, Syro Malabar Community, NRI category and Open Merit.

LMCST offers M.Tech in Computer Science, Applied Engineering and Instrumentation (ECE) , Control Systems (EEE). The total intake is 18 students for each specialization. Candidates who hold AICTE approved graduate degree in B.Tech. or B.E. with at least 60% marks are eligible to apply for M.Tech. Students should have valid GATE score to apply. Admission to these M.Tech. program will be through counselling by DTE, Kerala based on valid GATE score.

Key Points:

• There is a relaxation of 6% marks in the aggregate scores for candidates belonging to SEBC category if their annual income is less than 6 lakhs per annum.
• There is no minimum percentage bar for candidates belonging to SC/ ST category.
• The upper age limit to apply for this course is 21-year for all the categories.
• 50% seats are reserved under Govt. Quota, 33% seats are reserved under Management Quota and remaining 17% belongs to NRI quota.
• Seats reserved under Govt. Quota are allotted to candidates who appear in the rank list released by Directorate of Technical Education, Kerala.

LMCST offers MCA program and MBA in Human Resource, Marketing, Finance, Operations, International Business, Information Systems to eligible candidates. To be eligible to apply, candidates should have 3-year graduate degree in any field with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. For MCA, it is compulsory to have Mathematics/ Statistics as subject in 10+2 or graduation.

Final selection of MBA applicants is based upon the scores obtained in CAT, CMAT or KMAT entrance exam followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview. 80% weightage will be given to entrance score and 10% each to GD and PI. MCA selection will be based on Kerala MCA Entrance Test. If there are insufficient candidates with entrance score, admission will be merit based on qualifying exam.

• Candidates appearing for final year examination of their Bachelor’s degree are also eligible for the Entrance Exam.
• The total intake for MCA and MBA Course is 60 students each.
• 50% of the seats are filled on basis of the CEE Entrance Test and the remaining seats are filled through Management Quota.
• Lateral Entry to MCA Program 3^rd semester is open for candidates who hold BCA/ BSC Computer Science Bachelor’s degree with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.
