Sri Sairam Engineering College (SSEC), Chennai, established in the year 1995 is a non-profitable, and non-minority institution. It is a self-financing college and is affiliated to Anna University. The college is accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) with a score of 3.37. It is ranked 123rd and has a rating of AAAA. SSEC has been ranked amongst Top 10 Engineering Colleges with 38 gold medals and a great placement record of 95% with TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, etc.

SSEC admissions are offered at UG level in BTech and BE and at PG level in ME and MBA. Selection to BE and B.Tech programs are based on TNEA counseling. General category students having passed 10+2 with more than 45% marks in science and Reserved categories applicants should have at least 40% marks to be eligible for UG admissions. Similarly for PG students having their Bachelors degree can apply for admissions through TANCET.

Students will have to register themselves online through the 'Sri Sairam Engineering College online registration portal'.

SSEC Chennai Results

The students can check about their results through the respective sites. Anna University announces the results for TNEA and TANCET. For TNEA no exam is conducted but for TANCET students have to give an entrance exam.

For BE, the candidates can download Rank List PDF from the official website– tneaonline.org by logging into their account using email ID and password.
Similarly for TANCET, the candidates can download the scorecard from the official website-annauniv.edu using their email ID and Password. If they are selected they are eligible to apply for admission to MBA and ME in SSEC.

SSEC Chennai Scholarships

Sri Sai Ram College offers merit-based scholarship opportunities to students. The scholarship amount ranges from INR 5000 for a candidate with a percentage between 85-87% or a CGPA between 8.76-8.99, and INR 10,000 for a candidate with a percentage between 87-90% and a CGPA between 9.00-9.24. A candidate who has managed to score 90% and above (cumulative) and has a CGPA above 9.25 can get the fee amount waived for a full academic year.

What Students Say?

It seemed that they arent well equipped, and their course syllabus is good, but teaching has to be improved.
There are more than 30 companies that give jobs to students, and there are 10 best companies that provide the highest salaries.
This college has a very good placement record and has partnerships with top companies such as TCS, Infosys, Zoho, etc.
The campus job is good as everyone gets placed, it is 95%, and I didnt receive any scholarships.
I was a member of UBA Club, which is a very enthusiastic and good club.
The hostel facilities are good, but the hostel fees are very high. It will cost 75000 per year. The food is good, they serve non-veg every night except Thursday. The rooms are well and good for accommodation. There will be 4 students sharing a single room.
The faculty over there will admire us a lot and they will treat us in a good way and with respect.

Dislike

We were compelled to take Marketing as a compulsory specialization; the reason behind that is nothing else but the fact that marketing job opportunities were the only ones offered.
The negative part of this college is the hostel. No facilities are provided in the room. All things must be bought by us. The hostel fees are also much higher. They provide non-veg 5 days a week, but it does not satisfy our expectations

Sri Sairam Institutions Best Destinations for Placements.

I didn't apply for Anna University counseling as I decided on engineering as the last option so I visited the college campus for consortium-based admission they will ask for some capitation fees for available seats and we should book our wanted seats. Later they will let us know about the admissions process and they will guide us through the registration process and fee payment.

The admission process was quite easy only, before joining, they asked you to apply on TNEA(Tamilnadu engineering admission), in which we need to register the credentials regarding your 10th and 12 th mark and stuff accordingly, after that you"ll get a message regarding the college you have chosen and so on. this TNEA helps to decrease fees and also with suggesting good colleges. I chose ECE (electronics and communication engineering) so to aim into the software side. The eligibility of the course is to pass the 12th graduation with a minimum percentage of 60 in all subjects The application forms can be distributed inside the college, the application fee costs around 700 and application dates are announced in the college portal. I have not received any reservation benefits No improvement is required in the admission process
