St.Peter’s College of Engineering & Technology was established by Lakshmi Saraswathi Educational Trust in 2008. It is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and is located in Avadi, Tamil Nadu.

SPCET Avadi B.E and B.Tech Admission 2023
SPCET offers B.E courses under 6 disciplines and B.Tech under 3 disciplines for which the annual intake is 860 students. Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with at least 50% average marks put together of all three subjects. Eligible candidates can apply through the official website of TNEA. The expected date for the announcement of the rank.
Admissions to B.E program are based on the marks obtained by the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, reduced to 200, where 100 marks will be allotted to Mathematics and 100 for the other two subjects. Admissions will be conducted through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA).

Key points:
- The children of Central Government employees will also be eligible for admissions even if they are not domiciled residents of the state, provided their parents have been serving in Tamil Nadu for past 5 years.
- Children of All India Service Tamil Nadu Cadre officers are eligible to apply.
- Applicants who are not the residents of the State but have completed their Class 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th from Tamil Nadu will be eligible to apply for admissions without having to enclose their nativity certificate.
SPCET Avadi M.E and MBA Admission 2023
SPCET Avadi offers M.E in 4 specializations and an MBA program at the postgraduate level.
For admission to M.E program, candidates must hold B.Tech/ B.E degree with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories). Relaxation of 5% will be given to the candidates of the reserved categories. The minimum educational qualification for applicants for MBA program is a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
SPCET admits students to PG courses through TANCET, the state level entrance exam conducted by Anna University.

Important points:
- Applicants who have a valid GATE score need to apply through the separate forms available for GATE qualified candidates.
- GATE qualified candidates are exempted from taking TANCET.
- TANCET rank will be published after normalization of marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance test.
- Counseling of the merit candidates will be conducted through Tamil Nadu Common Admissions (TANCA).
- After counseling schedule is announced, candidates will have to attend TANCA process for verification of documents, seat allotment and confirmation of admission process.
SPCET Avadi Application Process 2023
Candidates have to apply for TANCET and TNEA official portal. For TNEA application forms, they need to click on the “Register” tab on the home page of the website. After the successful completion of registration process, applicants must fill the personal details and academic qualification details. Proceed to pay the fee and submit the application.
Attach the self-attested copies of the following documents along with the hard copy of the duly filled in form:
- Class 10th mark sheet
- Class 12th mark sheet
- Transfer certificate issued by school
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- Nativity certificate
- Relevant certificates for the children of Ex-servicemen/ freedom fighters.

For TANCET applications, they need to register with a valid email id, phone number and password. Follow these steps after registering:
- Log in with the id and password and fill the mandatory details.
- Upload scanned copies of passport size photograph and signature.
- Proceed to pay the application fee. The application fee for General category candidates is INR 500 and for reserved category candidates is INR 250.
- Application fee can be paid through Debit/ Credit Card or Net banking.
