Terna Engineering College offers various scholarships to deserving candidates. The scholarships are provided in the form of a tuition waiver and a candidate can avail of only one scholarship. The scholarship provided to the students shall be based on the documents provided to the Institute and any discrepancy in documents will lead to forfeiture of the scholarship. Terna Engineering college also provides scholarships to women and students from economically weaker sections.

Terna Engineering College offers academic scholarships to students on the basis of their merit. The governing body of the college has initiated Late Smt. Dr. Chandrakaladevi Padmasinha Patil (Smt. Dr. C. P. Patil) scholarship to rankers/college toppers/class toppers. TEC awards scholarships between the amount of INR 10000/- to 30000/- to toppers in various categories.
The government of India and the Government of Maharashtra has initiated post-metric freeship/scholarship for socially weaker students. It sponsors full/Part of tuition fees under freeship/scholarship schemes. The government has also initiated a support mechanism through a scholarship to the economically weaker sections under the EBC facility. Students from minority communities are also reimbursed part of tuition fees through DTE, Maharashtra. In totality, 40% of students in Terna are benefited worth INR 7 crore per annum from the government.
AICTE has started a special scholarship scheme for Jammu & Kashmir students under PMSSS.
The Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme is provided by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) to economically backward students, women and physically challenged students. It is a supernumerary quota of 5% of the sanctioned strength for the TFWS students. It is actually financial assistance for meritorious students who have scored good marks in entrance examinations and are opting for engineering admissions. Under this scheme, the tuition fee of the aspirant is waived. The rest of the fees should be paid by the beneficiary.
The scheme aims to provide financial support to institutes willing to put extra effort into engaging and training SC/ST students for competitive examinations. The broad objective of the scheme is to help aspiring SC/ST students seeking higher education through admission tests like GATE/GPAT/CAT/CMAT/TOEFL/IELTS and GRE.
