In order to be eligible for the MBA program at Thiagarajar School of Management, candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria mentioned below:

Candidates must be a graduate in any stream from a recognized institute with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

Thiagarajar School of Management admits candidates on the basis of their combined performance in last qualifying examinations and entrance exams. Appearing for and qualifying the entrance exams is a prerequisite to be eligible for the MBA programme at TSM.

Candidates are first shortlisted on the basis of their entrance test scores, prior academic performance and relevant work experience.
These shortlisted candidates are then required to appear for Written Ability Test followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Program Structure

Duration: The minimum course duration is 2 years whereas candidates are provided a maximum of 4 years, i.e, 12 trimesters for successful completion of the course. Each academic year comprises 3 trimesters, hence, the course comprises a total of 6 trimesters.
Course Structure: The first year comprises core courses aiming to enlighten students with fundamentals of management and aspects of industrial environment after the completion of which a 6-8 weeks internship in reputed firms and project work is mandatory for students. From second year onwards, candidates are required to choose and study elective courses as per their interest.
Summer Internship: Summer Internship Programme is an opportunity to convert the internship into a pre-placement offer and helps the students in career placements. This internship must be started in May / June and can be availed through TSM itself.

Evaluation: Evaluation of students is done on the basis of their performance in Mid-Trimester Examinations, End Term Examinations, Internship Project Work etc. The weightage criteria is as follows:
- CA: 60 Marks
- ET: 40 Marks
- Total: 100 Marks
