Jansons Institute of Technology (JIT) Coimbatore Admission 2024: M.B.A. Admissions, Cut Off

Janson Institute of Technology offers full-time B.E course in five specializations. Candidates who have completed 10+2/ HSC with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or vocational subjects and have scored minimum 50% marks (45% for BC/ BCM and 40% for SC/ ST/ MBC & DNC candidates) are considered eligible to get admission into BE. They should have domicile of Tamil Nadu.

Selection of the candidates is done on the basis of candidate’s merit in 10+2/ HSC through TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission). TNEA is a state level counselling process conducted by the Anna University, Chennai.

Key points:

• Candidates whose names are listed in the rank list of TNEA are allowed to participate in the counselling process.
• General category candidates who secure minimum 50% marks and the candidates of OBC/ MBC/ DNC/ SC/ SCA/ ST category who secured minimum 40% marks in the qualifying examination are eligible to participate in TNEA.
• As mentioned in the college brochure, admission under the Government Quota is done through single window counselling, whereas admission under the Management Quota is done by the college admission authority through an entrance test conducted by the Consortium of Self Financing Professional Arts and Science
  Colleges of Tamil Nadu, Chennai.

JIT offers 2 years full-time ME course in 3 specializations. Applicants with BE/ B.Tech degree in any discipline from Anna University or its equivalent, according to the qualification criteria of Tamil Nadu Common Admission (TANCA) are considered eligible for admission to M.E course.

Selection of the candidates is done on the basis of their merit in the BE/ B.Tech including their score of GATE or TANCET. TANCA is a state level admission procedure conducted by the Anna University, Chennai for the admission of candidates into ME/ M.Tech courses. It is generally conducted in the month of June every year.

Key points:

• Applicants who hold a Diploma (of 10+3 pattern) awarded by the State Board of Technical Education along with AMIE Certificate are considered eligible to attend TANCA counselling.
• As per the qualification criteria for TANCA, applicants of General category should have scored minimum 50% marks in the qualifying examination, whereas reserved category candidates must have scored at least 45% marks.
• The local applicants of Tamil Nadu are given preference during the admission process, while the applicants of other states are instructed to apply under the Open category.
