Vel Tech High Tech Dr.Rangarajan Dr. Sakunthala Engineering College Admission 2023: Courses, Eligibility, Cut Off, Fees

At undergraduate level, Vel Tech Dr. RR & Dr. SR University offers BE and B.Tech programs to the students who want to pursue their career in the field of Engineering. The duration period for the B.E/B.Tech courses is four years. The college also provides a lateral entry in the B.E and B.Tech second year for which the duration of both the course is three years.

For Admission to B.E / B.Tech Degree Courses, a candidate should have passed the twelfth standard of Tamil Nadu H.S.C. (Academic) or an equivalent examination recognized by Anna University with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. For direct admission to second year (Lateral Entry), a candidate should have passed the Diploma Examination in Engineering / Technology of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu or an equivalent examination.

In order to seek admission in the B.E and B.Tech courses, aspiring candidates will have to go through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) conducted by Anna University.

At the postgraduate level, Vel Tech Engineering College offers Master of Engineering (M.E.) in Structural Engineering. The M.E  /M.Tech program is offered for a duration period of two years. The intake capacity for the M.E. program is 18 seats.

To apply for the M.E/M.Tech program, a candidate needs to hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field and obtained atleast 50% (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination.

The candidates who meet the eligibility criteria, need to appear either in Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) conducted by the Anna University or in GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).

In addition to the technical courses, Veltech Dr. RR & Dr. SR University offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) at the postgraduate level. The MBA program is of two years whereas the MCA program takes three years to complete the duration period. The institute also accepts admission in the MCA second year.

To meet the eligibility criteria for the MBA program, candidates need to hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration and obtained atleast 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying examination.

For the MCA program, candidates need to hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration with Mathematics at +2 level and obtained atleast 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying examination.

For admission to the MCA (Lateral Entry), candidates need to hold a BCA / B.Sc. (Information Technology / Computer Science) with mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or at

Graduate level and obtained atleast 50% (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved

category) in the qualifying degree examinations.

Admission to the MBA and MCA programs are done through the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) conducted by Anna University or CET conducted by authorized agency.
