IIIT Dharwad Courses Admission 2024: Dates, Cutoff, Eligibility, Selection Criteria, Application Process

IIIT Dharwad offers a 4-year B.Tech program in three specializations, namely, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Candidates Are required to appear in JEE Main entrance examination in order to get admission to the course.

IIIT Dharwad B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the B.Tech program at IIIT Dharwad, candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as compulsory subjects and have at least 60% marks in aggregate.

IIIT Dharwad B.Tech Selection Criteria

Selection of the candidates is done through JoSAA/CSAB counselling process. Seats are allocated on the basis of JEE Main result, category, choice filling, availability of seats, and other factors. The Institute does not make any decisions in the seat allocation process. 

IIIT Dharwad B.Tech Cutoff 2023 (Expected)

IIIT Dharwad JEE Main cutoff is the minimum rank to get admitted to the B.Tech program. The cutoff will be released by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). The cutoff depends on various factors such as rank secured in the JEE Main examination, availability of seats, choice filling, reservation criteria, etc. IIIT Dharwad BTech expected cutoff 2023 for general category candidates based on JoSAA 2022 round 1 opening and round 6 closing ranks is tabulated below:

How to Apply for JEE Main

Candidates who are eligible for admission have to take the JEE Main. The application process is given below:

• Visit the official website of JEE- Main
• Register for the online application form
• Make a note of the system-generated application number
• Create a password
• Log in again and fill out the form
• Upload scanned images of photographs and signature
• A fee of INR 650 (INR 325 for reserved categories) will be charged/ It is to be paid through Debit card, Credit card, Net banking, UPI or Paytm.
• Keep a printout of the application form for future use.

IIIT Dharwad offers a Ph.D. program in six specializations, namely, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Physics, Mathematics, and Humanities. The first-year fee for Ph.D at IIIT Dharwad is INR 74,000. The institute does not offer financial assistantship, full-time research scholars are expected to be either self-financing or sponsored candidates. 

IIIT Dharwad Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

Master Degree in Engineering/Technology in relevant areas with a minimum of CGPA/CPI of 6.5 for Gen/OBC and 6.0 for SC/ST/ all PwD category student’s on a scale of 1- 10 or First Class or 60% for Gen/OBC and 55% for SC/ST/all PwD category student’s marks in aggregate

M.Tech/M. Sc in Engineering/Technology in relevant areas with a minimum of CGPA/CPI of 7.0 for Gen/OBC and 6.5 for SC/ST/ all PwD category student’s on a scale of 1- 10 or First Class with Distinction or 70% for Gen/OBC and 65% for SC/ST/ all PwD category student’s marks in aggregate. Applicants with experience in a reputed R & D organization or company, or published papers in reputed conferences and journals, or a patent are preferred. 

IIIT Dharwad Ph.D. Selection Criteria

• Applicants are shortlisted on the basis of marks in the qualifying examination.
• Shortlisted candidates are required to appear for a screening test conducted by the institute.
• Those who qualify the screening test will be called for a personal interview.
• Final selection will be made on the basis of the merit list released by the institute on the basis of performance in the written test and interview.
