About Cambridge Institute of Technology

Cambridge Institute of Technology an Autonomous Institute was established under the Umesh Education Trust in 1964. The institute is approved by AICTE, affiliated to Visveswaraya Technological University Belagavi and accredited by NAAC with an A+ grade,  four Undergraduate programs: Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Science and Engineering are accredited by NBA.CIT has also obtained an NIRF Innovation ranking in the band of 101-150. CIT has bagged the prestigious project from MEITY(Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology )Govt. of India under the C2S program worth INR 494 Lakhs. It is working in collaboration with premier Institutes to execute sponsored projects from ISRO, and DRDO worth INR 15 crores. CIT has bagged the Best Performer award from the Institute of Engineers, the Samsung Alliance Award, the CII Sustainability Award, and many more. 

CIT offers seven UG programs and four  PG Programs. Eight research centers are recognized by VTU for promoting Doctoral programs. The Institute Innovation Council under MOE and AICTE has been continuously recognized with 5-star and 4-star awards. CIT is successfully implementing OBE to impart Quality Education and to achieve academic excellence. CIT Admission 2024

For UG courses admission through the Management Admission process is open for Karnataka and non-Karnataka domicile students. SAARC and other foreign candidates are also eligible to apply through the management admission process. Management candidates will also be selected based on their academic merit and the admission process is open for Karnataka and non-Karnataka domicile students. Candidates will be selected based on their academic performance and must have a valid scorecard from one of the following competitive examinations: PGCETGATE, and Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT). CIT Cutoff

  • Hostel: The college offers hostel facilities for Boys and Girls separately with a capacity of 500 each. Shortly college is planning to build more hostels for the students. Hostels are annexed with a kitchen along with a dining hall. It is also equipped with a 24*7 water facility and hot water facility.
  • Gym: A gym facility is available for physical fitness to the students.
  • Library: The library facilitates more than 26,000 books and 75 National and International Journals. At any point in time, 250 members can be seated.
  • Sports: In-door sports hall includes table tennis, carrom board, chess, etc. Outdoor sports facilities are 20 yards of ground, 110 yards of Multipurpose Ground, a volleyball court, a Throw Ball Court, a Ball Badminton Court, and a basketball Court (Court). 200-meter running track, Football court, Hockey court, Softball, and Multiple Athletic events.
  • Cafeteria: The cafeteria is facilitated within the campus and it provides a wide variety of Indian snacks and dishes available for breakfast, lunch, etc.
  • Auditorium: The auditorium facility is available for events with multimedia equipment facilities.
  • Medical: A clinic, with a few beds along with an on-call Doctor facility for 24 hours to take care of the health requirements of the students.
  • Wifi Connectivity: The campus has a 30 Mbps dedicated broadband line with 24-hour Internet connectivity.
  • Transport: The college runs six buses from different parts of the city.
