The institute is the first serene, well-established and most prominent private institute of architecture in Maharashtra. Lt. Shri. Shankarraoji Chavan, former Home Minister, Government of India was the founder member and president of Marathwada Mitra Mandal. The college was established with an urge to work with a missionary zeal and be responsive to the social environment for achieving high ethical standards by giving as much as importance to means as to ends.
