Krishnath College Admission 2023: Application form, Merit List, Eligibility

Krishnath College was established in 1853 in Baharampur, West Bengal. It is affiliated to the University of Kalyani and is awarded by NAAC with grade ‘A’.

The college offers BA, BA (Hons). B.Sc and B.Sc (Hons) at UG level. At PG level, KNC offers MA and M. Sc courses. Admission to all these courses are done through counselling conducted by the college itself based on the merit in qualifying exam.

Students have to apply online on the official portal of KNC. The application fee is INR 150/- and INR 250/- for UG and PG courses respectively.

Krishnath College UG Eligibility

• Candidates must have passed HSC conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent examination conducted by other State Board/Council.
• A candidate should have passed in five subjects, one of which is English, if it is another Board/Council. Candidates who have passed only four subjects are not allowed to apply.
• Those who are taking Honours course in a subject should have scored a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate and 55% in the subject ny related subject in his/her previous qualifying examination.

OR

• 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject in his/her previous qualifying examination.

OR

• 55% marks in aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject or any related subject in his/her previous qualifying examination.

Krishnath College UG Selection Criteria 

• The selection of students solely depends upon the merit in the qualifying exam (10+2).
• A merit list will be published on the official website based on the rank.
• Candidates whose names are listed on this list have to appear for an offline counselling on a given date to get admission in the college.
• During the counselling, seats will be allotted to students based on their rank and availability of seat.
• Lastly, candidates have to report at the college for further admission process.

• KNC select students for PG courses based on the merit in the qualifying exam (Graduation).
• A merit list will be published on the official website based on the rank of students.
• Those who will have their names on this list will have to be present for the counselling round at the college.
• Based on the rank and seat available, the concerned authority will allot seats.
• After the seat allotment is done applicants need to report at the college to complete remaining admission formalities.

Seat Reservation for PG courses

Candidates can fill the application form by following below-listed steps:

• Go to the official website of KNC.
• Click on the ‘Download Application Form’ link of the course you want to apply.
• Now register yourself first by providing the required details.
• As soon as registration is done, you will receive a SMS on your number containing application number.
• Login with this application number and mobile number to fill the application form.
• Enter all the correct details in the application form and select the specialization under the desired course.
• After filling, click on the ‘Save’ button and then proceed to upload the most recent passport size photo.
• Now make application fee payment through Credit Card/Debit Card or Net Banking.
• Lastly, take a printout of duly filled application form.
