IDOL under Guwahati University offers 4 under graduate programs which are BCA, B.Sc., BA (General) and B. Com. (General). The minimum eligibility for BCA and B.Sc. IT is, the candidate must have passed Class 12th or must have done a 3 year Polytechnic Diploma program. The selection will be done on the basis of marks obtained by the aspirant in the qualifying degree.

- The course fees for B.A. (General) program is INR 4000 per year and the course fees for B.Com. (General) program is INR 5000.
- After the admission, 50% of the amount of the total course fees i.e. INR 2000 for BA and INR 2500 for B.Com. will be reimbursed to the concerned study center.
GU IDOL M.Com., M.Sc. & MA Admission 2023
IDOL division of Guwahati University offers M.Com., M.Sc. and MA courses. M.Sc. course is offered in three areas – IT, Economics and Mathematics and MA is offered in 11 areas. All the PG courses are of a duration of two years. The eligibility for M.Com. is B.Com. or BBA degree and for M.Sc. IT the candidate must have done B.Sc. or BCA in the related stream. For all the other courses of post graduation, the candidate should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized Indian/ Foreign University. For M.Sc. IT the selection will be on the basis of an entrance test. For all the other courses, the selection will be done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

GU IDOL PG Diploma Admission 2023
Institute of Distance and Open Learning offers the course of PD Diploma in eight categories. The candidates must have done graduation in the related subject in which the candidate wants to apply. The university will make selections on the basis of merit in the qualifying degree.

GU IDOL Application Process 2022
The candidate can take admission to the courses offered by GUIDOL through any of the following two modes:
ON THE SPOT ADMISSION
- Visit the GUIDOL office or any of the authorized study centers.
- Purchase the application form through the UBI counter at GUIDOL annex building or from any of the GUIDOL study center by making the payment of INR 50.
- Also take along the original marksheet or certificate of the qualifying examination in addition to two passport size photographs and the registration fees.
ONLINE ADMISSION
The candidate can take the print out of the application form through online mode and make the submission in the offline way.
Payment through study center:
- Visit the official website of the University.
- Go to the “student” link
- Click on the “self-Enrollment” tab
- Fill all the required details and click “submit”.
- Take a print out of the application form.
- Now visit any of the study centers with the hard copy of the form along with the required documents for the verification.
- After the successful verification, the candidate will be issued a roll number and he/ she can deposit the admission fees.
Payment via crossed Demand Draft:
- Download the application form and fill all the relevant details.
- Now send the hard copy of the application form, duly attested copies of the related documents, attested by Gazetted Officer, along with the demand draft of the required amount, to GUIDOL by post on or before the due date of submission.
Key Points:
- The candidates are also required to keep one copy of the application form as it has the Reference Number which will be required in the future for tracking the status of the form.
- For the candidates who had submitted the documents, form and Demand Draft though the post, will be given their Roll Number on the Online Portal, once their application form is received by the respective department of the University. Also such candidates will be sent their study material, Identity Card and Money Receipt to the address provided by the candidate.
- Candidates are required to bring along the original marksheet and certificates for the verification purpose at the study center of GUIDOL, without which, the admission of those candidates will stand forfeited.

- Mark sheets of the previous examinations (both original as well as self - attested copies).
- GU Registration certificate (only for GU graduates).
- 2 passport size photographs (3 cm x 3.5 cm size).
