Modern Group of Colleges was established under society in the year 1994 in the City of Hoshiarpur, Punjab. It is affiliated by I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University and is a constituent college of the I.K. Gujral PTU.
The courses offered by MGC are in the field of Agriculture, Information Technology, Allied Health Sciences, Management, Accounting, Fashion Designing and Hotel Management.

MGC Hoshiarpur Admission Guidelines
The admission into the Modern Group of Colleges is conducted based on the merit list prepared by the institute. No entrance exam is conducted for admission purposes.
How to Apply?
- Visit the official website of the Modern Group of Colleges.
- On the Home page, under the section of ‘Future Students’, candidates need to click on the option of Admission.
- The application/registration form will be opened up on the same tab.
- Candidates need to fill up the personal details like their Names, Parents names, family income and address.
- Further, candidates need to fill up their education details and Date of Birth.
- After completing the form, candidates can submit the online application/registration process.
MGC Hoshiarpur Placements
Modern Group of Colleges has a separate and dedicated placement wing which looks after the process of placements in MGC. The Institute has the facility of providing both on-campus and off-campus placements to the students.
More than 500 companies have visited the campus as of now and students have achieved being placed at some of the top companies like Wipro, HCL, Karachi Bakery etc. MGC has also started a foreign placement program.
Foreign students get an opportunity to work in the companies in which they have been placed by Internship Visa, Working Holiday Visa, Undertaking fee for a service, Professional Development Visa and Occupational Training Visa.

MGC Hoshiarpur Scholarships
Modern Group of Colleges has recently started a COVID 19 pandemic scholarship. Candidates getting admission during the pandemic period will get a certain scholarship in the terms of fees. Along with it, there is a norm for fee concession based on marks or merit scored by the candidates.
Scholarship or Financial Assistance is available to the students belonging from reserved category. The scholarship is also provided based on government schemes such as MCMHS. Candidates belonging to the state of Jammu and Kashmir can avail of the scholarship under PMSSS J&K Scholarship.

- Canteen and Cafeteria: MGC has a clean and spacious canteen which provides healthy, nutritionist food at affordable rates. It is open on all working days.
- Library: MGC has a computerized library. The library has more than 7000 books and has many journals for research work and publications.
- WiFi Campus: The whole campus of MGC has well-connected WiFi which ensures e-learning mode also. Along with it, the e-classroom facility can also be availed.
- Hostels: MGC has separate hostels for girls and boys. The hostels have adequate ventilation, hygienic mess facility and all other amenities needed by the students.
