Eligibility Criteria
Aspirants seeking admission to 3-year Full-time Diploma must have passed a 10th examination or its equivalent with subjects mathematics, General science and English with minimum 35% marks in aggregate.
Course Details
K.K. Wagh Education Society conducts Diploma in Engineering Technology programs through three AICTE-approved Polytechnics that are affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) and Directorate of Technical Education (DTE).
Applicants can choose to study one among seven disciplines:
- Computer Technology
- Information Technology
- Civil, Mechanical
- Chemical, Electrical
- Electronics and Telecommunications.
As per Govt. of Maharashtra rules, 10% of annual sanctioned intake is reserved for direct entry into the second year of the program for deserving candidates. Total intake capacity for the program is 1230.

Diploma in Engineering Technology Eligibility
- SSC from Maharashtra Board or equivalent with 35% score in aggregate.
- Applicants should have studied General Science/ Physics and Chemistry, Mathematics/ Algebra and Geometry, English as compulsory subjects.
Candidates who fulfill either of the following conditions are eligible to direct entry into the second year of Diploma in Engineering Technology.
- Completed class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and either of Mathematics/ Biology as compulsory subjects
- Completed class 12th in Vocational or Technical streams.
- Completed 2 years of ITI Trade in appropriate training from recognized institution post completion of Class 10th.
Diploma in Engineering Technology Selection Criteria
All admission decisions are based on SSC/HSC/ITI results only. Seat Allocation is through CAP conducted by DTE. The cut-off score recorded during the AY 2018 – 19 for each specialization option is presented below:

How to apply to Diploma in Engineering Technology?
- Candidates need to register with DTE for CAP at https://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in
- Fill online application form as well as option form and upload specified documents.
- Visit Facilitation Centre for verification of uploaded documents.
- Seats are allocated through three rounds of computerized CAP.
