About BCAS DU

Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences is a constituent public college of the University of Delhi. The college has been accredited by NAAC with an A grade and it is spread over an area of 12 acres. This includes the central library, sports ground, canteen, computer and Wi-Fi, etc. Bhaskaracharya college currently offers B.Sc (Hons.) in multiple specializations. The admission to the UG courses is carried out on the basis of the candidate’s performance in CUET UG. After qualifying in the entrance exam, candidates have to appear in the centralized DU CSAS process for seat allocation.

Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences has an Academic Staff of hundred teachers for teaching almost 1700 students. It has a total faculty of 87 teachers out of which approx 22 teachers are associate professors and 65 assistant professors.

BCAS is known for organizing student-oriented activities to enhance their participation in cultural activities. The Electronic Society of college, SPARKS, organizes a “TECHMANIA” fest in which technical events like Creation and Innovation, Circuit Making, and several quiz competitions are organized.

Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences offers only BSc honors in different specializations. For admission, candidates must have passed class 12 with 55% marks (at least) and qualified in CUET UG.

Bhaskaracharya College admission to the UG courses is based on scores obtained in the CUET examination. The admission process includes appearing for the entrance exam and then appearing in the CSAS seat allotment—registrations for admission at the college start after CUET result declarations. Candidates must select Delhi University while filling out the CUET application can register themselves on the DU CSAS portal and choose their college and course preferences. The entire selection process is carried out via the DU CSAS portal for the UG courses in multiple rounds. Bhaskaracharya College admission process is given below in detail.

Step 1: Appear for the Entrance Examination

Bhaskaracharya College admissions are based on scores obtained in the entrance examination. The table below lists the entrance exam accepted for various courses at Delhi University:

Step 2: Registration on DU CSAS Portal and Filling of Courses and College Preferences

Candidates who qualify for the entrance examination must register on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Portal of Delhi University. Once the registration is done, candidates will be asked to fill college and course preferences. 

Step 3: Seat Allocation

The seat allocation will be done in multiple rounds for all programs. Seats are allocated based on scores obtained in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) or other national-level tests, combination of college and program chosen, category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR) of the candidate, and availability of seats. 

Step 4: Blocking of Seats and Final Admission

Candidates can check the seat allotment result by logging into Delhi University’s Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) dashboard. Upon acceptance of seat, the college will check eligibility, verify documents, and confirm admission after receiving the admission fees.

BCAS Scholarships

There is no such scholarship provided by the college. However, students can apply for the fee concession provided by the college. 

Students are required to apply for the fee concession by submitting the documents required by the college. Girls students, students from SC/ST category, and students with low income status are eligible for the fee concession.
