National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kangra, established in 2009,offers specialization at UG level in four disciplines of Bachelor of Design and one Bachelor of Fashion Technology course.
For the purpose of admission to NIFT, Kangra, the candidates must possess a 10+2 qualification in order to be considered eligible. The candidates must qualify the ‘Creative Ability Test’ conducted by NIFT in order to be shortlisted for the selection process.
Selection of students for admissions in NIFT, Kangra is solely based on entrance examination- GAT/CAT and the availability of seats. - Candidates will be selected on the basis of their marks in 12th examination with their ranks in Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT) conducted by NIFT.
- Selected candidates have to appear in a Situation Test which is compulsory for admission.
- Candidates clearing the situation test have to undergo a Group Discussion and Personal Interview, overseen by the NIFT Judge panel.
- Candidates who qualify in all the above stages will be offered a seat in NIFT Kangra.

How To Apply for NIFT Kangra?
The application process for the college is through Online mode. Once an applicant meets all eligibility criteria, he/she can visit the NIFT college website to apply. The entire procedure is given in stepwise below:-
- Visit the official website of NIFT (https://nift.ac.in/)and register yourself as a new user with a valid e-mail id.
- Once the applicant verifies the account, log in on NIFT Kangra website with a login id and password.
- Navigate through the screen and locate the “NIFT Kangra UG Admission 2023 Link”.
- Once you click on the link, you will be directed to a new page with the application form. Fill this application form with your personal and academic details.
- Upload the scan copy of recent passport-sized photographs and signatures.
- Once the details have been filled, a payment of 1500 INR (Open/OBC) category and 750 INR(SC/ST/PHP) category will be initiated.
- Payment can be done via Credit Card/ Debit Card/ NetBanking and Demand Draft.
- Applicants who will apply through Demand Draft is required to mail the printout of the Application Form which must be completed in all respect, along with Demand Draft on the address mentioned below:
