NIFT Hyderabad Admissions

The admission in NIFT Hyderabad for both UG and PG courses is done through NIFT Entrance Exam. Candidates who meet NIFT cut-offs are then supposed to appear for NIFT counselling round. At the time of counselling, candidates need to select the course and college of their choice for admissions.

For CE programmes, candidates are called for a Face-to-face interview at the NIFT campus selected by them for admission. The official website informs: “The interview for each CE Programme is designed to test the knowledge, skill and aptitude of the candidates for the programme opted by them”. Which is taken into consideration while allotting admission.

Admission Cycle: NIFT Hyderabad’s admission details are released in October for degree courses and entrance exams and admissions are conducted in January followed by the next stage of admissions in April/ May. Application forms for CE programmes are released in June followed by the interview round for admissions that is held in August/ September, every year.

Mode of Application: NIFT Hyderabad application process is conducted online for all courses. However, the application form can be submitted offline for CE programmes

How to apply?

• Admission Guidelines: For admission in UG and PG design programmes offered at NIFT Hyderabad candidates need to fill NIFT Entrance Exam application form online on the official website of the design entrance exam.
• NIFT selection Process includes a written test, situation test, and interview. Candidates clearing the NIFT exam are called for the further rounds of selection.
• A System generated letter will be issued to shortlisted candidates with all details regarding counselling schedule and documents required for verification.
• Students who pass the qualifying examination from any other University and are required to come for NIFT counselling to select the desired course and college.
• Though the institute does not charge any fee for the primary round of counselling, however each subsequent round of counselling would be charged at the rate of INR 5000.
• The NIFT has a reservation of total seats for SC/ST, OBC-NCL and Person with Disability (PWD) which can be availed with the relevant certificate.
• Documents for verification:
• All-Academic certificates up to qualifying examination. In the case of the final exam appearing candidate, whose result is due, all original mark sheets of the previous semester/years needs to be presented along with the date sheet/admit card for examination.
• Demand Draft of requisite fee in favour of ‘NIFT HO’. Payable at New Delhi has to be submitted. The candidate’s name, counselling date, contact number, program name, NIFT Rank and Roll Number should be mentioned at the back of DD.
• Proof of DOB
• Documents in the prescribed format, in support of the claim of reservation.
• Parents Income Certificate as the basis for Tuition Fee funding.
• Medical certificate in the prescribed format issued by a Registered Medical Practitioner.
• Affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.10/- for seeking only provisional admission in case the qualifying examination result is due.
• Anti-Ragging Declaration and Declaration regarding Fee Refund.
