Culinary Academy of India- [CAI], Hyderabad Admission 2023: Placement, Exam Syllabus, Entrance Exam, Courses

Culinary Academy of India runs Bachelor’s Degree program in Catering Technology and Culinary Arts of 3-years duration with the intake of 60 students. Those who have passed HSC/ 10+2 or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks in any stream or have applied for BCT and CA are considered eligible to get admission in the Bachelor’s Degree program offered by the college.

Admission to the course is given on the basis of candidate’s performance in All India Entrance Examination held in Hyderabad only including Group Discussion and Personal Interview conducted by the Institute.

Eligibility Table

• Candidates must be minimum 17 years of age at the time of admission to the course.
• Admission of the NRI candidates is supervised by the Dean Foreign Affairs, Osmania University, Hyderabad.

Post Graduate Diploma in Culinary Arts of 1-year duration with the intake of 30 students is offered by Culinary Academy of India.

Students who have done any of these courses viz. Bachelor in Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Bachelor of Business Management / Bachelor of Business Administration in Hotel / Hospitality, Graduates in Hospitality Management, Bachelor of Business Administration (Hotel, Hospitality and Tourism streams) with minimum two years of instruction in food production, B.Sc. Hotel Management, B.A. in Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts graduates from any recognized University are eligible to apply for admission to PG Diploma course.

Admission to this program is given on the basis of candidate’s marks obtained in All India Entrance Examination conducted in Hyderabad only followed by Group Discussion, Personal Interview, and a Trade Test.

Eligibility Table

• Candidates who are appearing in their last year of the course are also eligible to apply for admission.
• NRI/ Foreign candidates shall submit all the documents at the time of admission and the admission process is conducted by the Dean Foreign Affairs, Osmania University, Hyderabad.
• The admission process begins in the month of April/ May every year.

Culinary Academy of India offers full-time one and a half year duration Culinary Certificate course in Food Production and Patisserie with a capacity of 40 seats to the aspirants. Students who have passed or appearing in SSC/ 10th or its equivalent examination with English as the medium of instruction are considered eligible to get admission in the Certificate course.

Admission to the program is given based on candidate’s performance in the written test, group discussion and personal interview round.

Eligibility Table

• The minimum age of the candidates to get admission in the course is 16 years and the maximum age limit is 25 years.
• Candidates of SC/ ST category are given relaxation of 5 years.
