What is One Year MBA?

One Year MBA course are designed for working professionals working for more than 4 years who do not wish to leave their jobs, and also pursue MBA, preferably part-time or distance MBA. There are multiple top MBA colleges in India offering one-year MBA courses, the top ones being IIM Ahmedabad’s MBA-PGPX.

One Year MBA is very similar to Executive MBA, but they are not the same. Executive MBA is for individuals who have more than 10 years of experience whereas One Year MBAs are designed for professionals who have 4-5 years of experience.  

Students need to go through GMAT or GRE for admission into One Year MBA. Top MBA Colleges including IIMs in India provide One Year MBA under various names.  

The average fees for Online MBA in IIMs range between INR 20 Lakhs to INR 28 Lakhs. On average 1 Year MBA has higher fees as compared to 2 Year MBA program.

  • Admissions to One Year MBA requires a GMAT/GRE score of 650 or above, and most importantly a work experience of minimum 5 years or above.
  • The applications for one year MBA Admission will start from the month of November or December.
