 Introduction to Bioinformatics - students will learn about Bioinformatics as an Emerging Discipline, Applications of Bioinformatics in Various Areas,FASTQ and Structured File Formats. Topics like Methods of Sequence Analysis, Phylogenetic Analysis, Secondary Structure Analysis Tools and Biological Databases are included.

Computing Fundamental-Computing Concepts like the History of computing, the History of Computing Software are taught in the course. Data Representation and Number Systems, Gates and Circuits, Computer Networks, and Operating Systems are explained in the course.

Programming in C++ - Programming Basics, Classes and Objects, Control Structures & Functions, Arrays, Overloading & InheritanceandGeneric Function, Exception and File Handling are covered in this.

Systems Biology - Students will learn about Application areas of Systems Biology, System-level-Understanding of Biological Systems, Introduction, Measurement Technologies and experimental methods, System structure identification etc 

Biochemistry - This includes Introduction, Amino Acids, Carbohydrates, Lipids and Nucleic acids. Some important properties of water, dissociation of water and its ion product, Kw, buffer and buffering capacity pH are included in this course.

Essential Mathematics & Biostatistics- Students will learn about Basic Mathematics: Vectors: Vector algebra, Dot and Cross products and Correlation & Regression: Methods of studying simple correlation: Scatter Diagram, KarlPearson’s Co-efficient of Correlation, Spearman’s Rank Correlation. 

Programming in R - Students are taught Basic Data Types, Qualitative Data, Packages & Bioinformatics Applications, Matrix & Probability Distributions and Matrix & Probability Distributions.
