  • SIG (Symbiosis Institute of Geoinformatics): SIG Entrance Test is the entrance exam for admission to M.Sc. Geoinformatics and MTech, conducted by Symbiosis Institute of Geoinformatics. It's a Personal Interview followed by a Written Aptitude Test.
  • IIRS: IIRS Entrance Test is the entrance exam for admission to M.Sc. Geoinformatics and MTech, conducted by Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Dehradun. It is a 2 hours long exam and has 100 MCQ questions. Ans. NIT Rourkela is better for a Masters in Geology. It offers better facilities. Geology department has well-equipped labs with latest technologies. The campus has an active research environment. There is cutting-edge ongoing research in the field of Earth and Atmospheric Science.  Although NIT Rourkela is the better option in terms of academics and research culture, IIT Bhubaneswar has a locational advantage.
