AIIMS MBBS 2022 Result will be announced in the month of October/November 2022. The result will be declared through online mode by using login details such as ID & password. The result for each shift will be made in the form of Raw Scores, Percentage, & Percentiles separately for each subject.
Candidates who will qualify for AIIMS MBBS 2022 entrance exam will only be eligible for the next counselling process. Candidates can check the result at aiimsexams.org by entering their Registration ID and Password.
How to Check AIIMS MBBS Result?
AIIMS MBBS 2022 Results will be declared in two formats – roll number wise and rank-wise list of qualified candidates eligible for first round of AIIMS MBBS 2022 counselling.
Steps to check the scores are:
Step 1: Visit the AIIMS official site i.e. aiimsexams.org
Step 2: Click on ‘AIIMS MBBS Results’ link at the right corner of the screen.
Step 3: Click on ‘Rank -wise list’ or ‘Roll No.-wise list’ as per your requirement.
Step 4: The result will appear on the screen, check and download it.

AIIMS MBBS 2022 Result Calculation
The result of AIIMS MBBS will be released in the form of percentile scores. Candidates’ marks of AIIMS MBBS exam are converted in the form of percentile score and then the final merit list and results will be prepared. AIIMS New Delhi will prepare AIIMS MBBS 2022 result on the basis of the following details of a candidate:
- Candidate’s Raw Score (marks) in AIIMS MBBS exam
- Percentage of AIIMS MBBS
- Subject-wise Percentiles (upto seven decimal places)
- Overall Percentile (upto seven decimal places)
Method of Calculation of Percentile
Candidate’s subject-wise percentiles and overall percentile in their group will be calculated on the basis of the following formula. Here, T, S1, S2, S3 and S4 represent total marks in overall exam, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and General Knowledge respectively.
AIIMS MBBS 2022 Merit list
A merit list will be published online by the AIIMS MBBS, New Delhi authority. The Percentile scores for the Total Marks for both shifts as mentioned above would be merged and arranged so as to derive an overall Merit List / Ranking. There are four merit lists that are prepared are as follows:
- Common Merit List: The common merit list is a list that incorporates candidates from the general category and the other categories of SC/ST/OBC. According to this list, the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC category, when selected in the same standard as applied to the general category candidates, will not be considered for the seats against reservations.
- Scheduled Caste Candidate List: This merit list particularly includes the candidates according to their percentile score in the entrance exam belonging to the scheduled caste category.
- Scheduled Tribe Candidate List: This merit list particularly includes the candidates according to their percentile score in the entrance exam belonging to the Scheduled Tribe category.
- Other Backward Classes Candidate List: This merit list particularly includes the candidates according to their percentile score in the entrance exam belonging to the OBC category.
AIIMS MBBS 2022 Tie – Breaker Resolution
In case of a tie (identical Total Percentile), the order of deciding higher rank/merit would be Percentile in Biology, Percentile in Chemistry, Percentile in Physics, Percentile in General Knowledge, the elder by age. The overall ranking is based on the percentile scores of the total raw scores. The method applied for breaking ties are:
- Biology: Higher Percentile scores in Biology will result in higher ranking
- Chemistry: If Biology Percentiles do not break the tie, higher Percentile scores in Chemistry will result in higher ranking
- Physics: If Biology and Chemistry Percentiles do not break the tie, higher Percentile scores in Physics will result in higher ranking
- Age: If Biology, Chemistry, Physics Percentiles do not break the tie, the candidate elder by age will be ranked higher.
AIIMS MBBS 2022 Normalization Process
Normalization Process will be used to rank the candidates appeared for the exam in multiple shifts. It helps in nullifying the effects due to variance in difficulty level of question papers. The normalization procedure will be adopted on the basis of percentiles.
Percentile Scores
- These are scores which based on the relative performance of all candidates, those appear in the examination.
- Basically, marks secured are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each group of examinees.
- It indicates the percentage of candidates, which they have scored equal to or below that particular percentile in that exam.
- That’s why topper (higher score) of each group will get the same percentile of 100.
- The marks secured in between highest & lowest scores are also converted to appropriate percentiles. The Percentile score is Normalized Score for examination.
AIIMS MBBS 2022 Counselling Process
- Candidates to be called for counselling will be four times the number of seats available for each category.
- AIIMS Counselling 2022 will begin from December 2022.
- The seat will be allotted to candidates on the basis of merit, filled choices, availability of seats, etc.
- Next, the reserved category students will be called up for counselling to fill up the seats available in each institute in order of merit.
- Candidates must be present in person for allocation of seats. Candidates will select their choice of institute when called for counselling as per their rank in the respective category. Choice once made will be final.
- Seats will be allotted to aspirants based on their ranks and order of preference.
