Master of Science [M.S] (Transportation Planning and Operation)
Field of Study:
- In the master’s program in Transportation Planning and Operation, students will examine transportation and mobility, their interdependence, and the scopes for the design they present.
- The curriculum places a strong emphasis on practical relevance when introducing students to issues relating to both specific transport carriers as well as transport carriers in general.
- The emergence of transportation from mobility requirements and the characteristics and impacts of transportation are examined and illustrated in prognoses and simulations which seek to reflect reality as closely as possible.
- Students learn to view individual transport carriers as systems and to analyze their interactions with related societal fields. The fundamental principles of the planning, design, and construction of transportation facilities are as much a part of the program as the operational requirements for the design and control of transportation systems and mobility offers.
- The master’s program allows students to specialize in the areas of transport planning, transport informatics, rail transport, or road engineering.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
The admission requirements of the program are:
- Students require to have an undergraduate bachelor’s degree in Transportation Planning and Operation, or a similar discipline or an equivalent degree.
- The students whose official language is not English must submit the English Language Proficiency scores like IELTS or TOEFL.
- Submission of the GRE is not mandatory but will strengthen the application.

VISA
A German Student Visa is necessary for all international students who wish to study in Germany, with the exception of the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA), and Swiss nationals who can do so without a visa.
Even the national visa grants students the right to remain in Germany for the initial 3 months of a course. During this period, they are required to apply for a residence permit to extend their stay in Germany. Students should do this while their entry visa is still valid. The maximum period they will be receiving through such a residence permit is 2 years.
The required documents to apply for a German student visa:
- A duly-filled application form
- A smart cover letter stating the purpose and duration of students' stay.
- Valid national passport. (It must have three more months of validity on the day you leave Germany)
- Two photocopies of your passport.
- Three recently taken biometric portrait photographs.
- Certificate of birth.
- Covered health insurance
- Letter of Admission into a study program from the German University
- Proof of Payment to the college/university
- Evidence of the earlier education.
- Proof of Financial Resources to support their stay in Germany (Blocked Account Paper, preferably)
- Scores of Language Tests in Germany(Proof of German if students are applying for a course taught in German only)
- Travel Health Insurance
