Field of Study:
The aim of the course, which takes place almost entirely in German, is to train students who can be employed in many technical and economic fields, but especially where technical and economic thinking is required simultaneously.

Tuition Fees
There are no tuition fees at the University of Duisburg-Essen. All students are, however, subject to a student body and social contribution fee per semester.
The social and student body contribution for the winter semester 2021 amounts to a total of $387.43. However, the social and student body contribution for the summer and winter semesters of 2021 amounts to a total of $774.86 per year.
The amount is made up as follows:
- Mobility contribution (ticket): $253.41, of which $183.94 for the VRR semester ticket and $69.47for the NRW ticket
- Social contribution for the Studierendenwerk: $114.98
- Student body fee: $19.04.
The social and student body contribution is not to be paid before enrollment! Students will be informed about the payment modalities upon registration.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) or
- a relevant subject-specific higher education entrance qualification or
- a qualification recognized as equivalent or
- Proof of a special course-related technical aptitude (choice of subjects, grades) and sufficient general education (e.g. technical college entrance qualification)
- Anyone who has qualified in vocational training also has access to the course.
Indian Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet the following language proficiency criteria:
- Educational residents (people who have obtained their higher education entrance qualification in Germany or at a German school abroad) do not require any special proof of German language skills.
- Citizens of a country outside the EU with a foreign university entrance qualification must pass the "German language test for university entrance" (DSH 2 level) or the TestDaF (TDN 4) before starting their studies.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent certificate to get admission to this program.
