The University of Regensburg is a public research University situated on the southern edge of Regensburg in Germany. Founded in 1962, the University provides a broad variety of disciplines, highly-qualified professors and excellent facilities to its students. - Academic degrees (In Original Language as well as Translation by Sworn Translator)
- School-leaving certificate (including transcript of grades)
- Certificate of University entrance exam, if applicable

- Curriculum vitae in tabular format (academic records)
- Declaration of consent of parties (for underage applicants)
- Proof of German proficiency of at least B2 (for Medicine, Dentistry and Molecular Medicine: at least level C1.)

Application process for Master’s degree programs:
- Application portal: Applicants are required to submit their application to the responsible faculty.
- There is no application fee charged from the students.
- The documents which needs to be submitted commonly are as follows:
- A bachelor’s degree
- Transcripts of all the institutions attended
- Proof of German proficiency
- Copy of passport
- Health insurance
- Proof of financial support
- Once the relevant department accepts the application submitted by the applicant, campus portal will be activated for them after which applicants are required to register themselves online at the campus portal.
Cost of attendance
- The university does not charge any tuition fees from its students.
- However, students are required to pay a student service fee which is 152.50 EUR which includes a ticket for all bus lines in and around Regensburg.
- As a general orientation, at least 853 EUR per month would be accepted as proof that the applicants have sufficient means to support themselves.
- Every household is charged a radio and television license fee of 17.50 EUR per month whether they have those devices or not.

Financial aid for international students
- The university does not offer any financial aid service to its students.
- However, international students can get funding to study in Germany through external grants and scholarships can be availed by the students themselves.
- There are many scholarship organizations and foundations awarding scholarships and grants to various students.
- Some of the scholarships and grants are announced and awarded partly in the home country of the applicant, the information of which can be accessed from various German embassies in their home countries.
- Some of the scholarships organizations accept international students in Germany pursuing advanced studies. Such scholarships are granted for a period of six months or a year and sometimes an extension may be possible.
- The largest scholarship organization in Germany is the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Bonn.
