The content of the training program is based on the? knowledge acquired in the Bachelor's degree program in Mathematics . In particular, it is assumed that theoretical and practical basic knowledge in mathematical modeling, computer science & computer-aided methods, numerics and the theory of ordinary differential equations have already been acquired, that two introductory lectures in the chosen specialization have been taken and that the Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at the University of Kaiserslautern imparted knowledge in the chosen technical application subject.On the one hand, the training should enable the graduates to work together successfully on solving technical problems in the team with engineers or scientists and thereby successfully apply mathematical methods and models. On the other hand, students are in the major field of study , in one of the areas Modeling & Scientific Computing (partial differential equation, Systems and Control Theory), Image Processing & Data Analysis or biomathematics should be selected specifically introduced to the current application-specific mathematical research.
