This three-year program provides high-level scientific training for students with a background in medicine as well as for those with a background in natural and life sciences or engineering. They are looking for highly motivated applicants with a strong record of academic achievement and a keen interest in scientific research.The PhD program in Medical Life Science and Technology consists primarily of an experimental scientific project that is performed in the laboratory of a faculty member. The practical work is complemented by interdisciplinary lectures, seminars and practical courses.

There are zero tuition fees for all students at TUM. However, all the students are entitled to pay a semester fee of 147.40€ ( 154.39 USD) which includes Student Union fees and the basic semester ticket for public transportation in Munich.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- Medical degree or Master of Science (or "Diplom" if applicable) degree in a relevant subject area such as biology, chemistry, physics, engineering or psychology
- Medical students at Technische Universität München (Technical University Of Munich) can be admitted before receiving their medical degree but have to finish their medical studies before graduating from the PhD programme.
- Good academic grades from previous studies are a prerequisite.
- Some research experience and a clear idea of why they want to enter a challenging doctoral research programme will strengthen the application.
- Bachelor's degrees are not sufficient.
- Non-native speakers must provide proof of English skills by providing TOEFL (88/120 minimum), IELTS Academic (at least 6.5/9) or Cambridge (CAE or CPE) test results.

To apply for the MS Automotive Engineering program of TUM, you must have completed a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university. You must demonstrate proficiency in English through a recognized language test such as TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent. Submission of GRE score is necessary for admission in this program.
To apply for the Master in Renewable Energy program of TUM you must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, natural sciences, or mathematics, with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Along with this you must also have a valid ELP test score. GRE score is not optional but preferred.
