What do you see as Anand College of Engineering and Management’s greatest strengths?

“Faculties, practical labs, quality education and students are our greatest strengths”

One of the biggest strengths that I feel is the quality of education we provide. We focus more on practical education rather than theoretical. Pupils get more job centric education to make them job ready. We introduce various workshops, practical labs, live projects and competitions to ensure practically in education.

Being the principal of this college, what is your philosophy of leadership and describe your leadership style?

“To provide right solutions and recognize problems is my leadership philosophy”

My philosophy of leadership is that a leader should always be accepted by the masses, not Forced. An actual leader is the one who has a deep knowledge and information of his/her domain. He should be expert in his field in every aspect. To become a good principal, you should be a good teacher first. It is necessary to recognize problems on your own and provide solutions through a leadership style. 

What are some of the biggest challenges you see, both for higher education in general and Anand College of Engineering and Management?

“Brain drain and migration of students to abroad for higher studies are the greatest challenges”

One of the biggest challenges that we are facing today is “Brain- Drain''. Another one is most of students in Punjab are moving abroad and aim for higher education. As a result more than 10 engineering colleges in Punjab have closed operations in the past few years. Another challenge is there are more than 20 private universities in Punjab which also creates another problem.

What would you like people to know about your university they may not know?

“Placements and internships are provided to pupils from the campus”

The thing which i want people to know about our institute is Placement facilities. Our placement record is very good and we have numerous companies visiting on campus for hiring students. As after the covid, opportunities are limited still we have managed to get our students placed. In Computer science, almost all the students are placed. Our major focus is on mechanical and civil engineering placements as well.

How does the curriculum of Anand College of Engineering and Management ensure the best practice of industry?

“Deliver quality education, hostel facilities and infrastructure for pupils”

To maintain healthy relations and Environment, I make sure that our teachers are delivering quality education that is reachable to students. We have all the resources for a good learning environment like infrastructure, hostel facilities, canteen etc. Our labs are also well designed and we provide industry related internships as well. All these are beneficial to make students future ready.

Any new courses you are planning to launch in this coming academic year?

“BBA, BA Vocational, and Bsc in Medical Lab Technology will be planned for next year”

Our campus provides Courses like B.Com, BCA, B,sc Fashion Technology, B. Tech in Mechanical, Computer Science, Civil, Diploma in Mechanical, CSE, and civil. We are planning to introduce 3 more courses BBA, BA Vocational, and B.sc in Medical Lab technology in the upcoming year. 

Any insights into how your university could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

“Guide pupils for government scholarships and give well maintained facilities for all”

We welcome students from all the states of India such as Punjab, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir. Our faculties guide them about government aided scholarships. Hostel is well maintained so that students can get a healthy environment for studies.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and aspiring students?

“Follow your passion and live a successful life”

My message to the youth is that you should recognize yourself and achieve what you aim for. Don’t be a part of the crowd. Choose the course and studies as per your interest. This is the most important to get success in life. I always suggest the youth to follow your passion in order to live a successful life.
