What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“Inspiration to improve student’s life by educating them”

My connectedness with education goes back to my early days in Banaras Hindu University. I was profusely influenced by the philosophy of Pandit Madan and Mohan Malaviya Ji, who gave up lucrative career options to promote education. To take his philosophy of education driven social development forward, I choose to stay connected with the education sector. Personally, I feel highly satisfied with close interaction with young and bright talents in campuses.

What is your leadership philosophy?

“I believe in teamwork and growth of everyone”

In my opinion, Great leaders trust their team and they prefer to lead from the front. Describing my own leadership style is a difficult task. Generally, I engage the stakeholders in collective and participative decision making.

How does the curriculum of RGIPT ensure the best practices of the industry?

“It is prepared and updated by taking suggestions from industry experts and faculties”

Our institute continuously takes input from industries and academic experts to design cutting edge curricula. The institute adopts all necessary steps to bring timely updating and changes to the curricula that can deliver value to the stakeholders. The academic Senate, experts from industry and academia guide the change. The Institute has provisions for short and long duration internship for students to understand best practices in the industry.

“We provide scholarships and trainings to the eligible students”

We have taken multiple steps to attract students from different races or economic backgrounds. As we all know, inclusive education is key to social-economic-technological development. The institute offers scholarships and assistance through tutorships to reduce economic hardship of the students. My team tries to ensure greater diversity and inclusive student mix on our campus. Further, the Digital Learning Centre provides unmatchable opportunities for student diversity.

My roles and responsibilities are substantially wide and inclusive. I am responsible for overall growth and development of the Institute. The students are at the core of the institute, so ensure their academic and professional development.

How do you strategize the key programs for marketing and administration of your Institute?

“We make best use of social media to reach more and more students”

We rely on print and social media to market our existing and new programs. We provide all the details related to our college at one place, be it our website, our Facebook or Instagram page. We keep on conducting multiple activities through these online platforms to ensure the engagement of more and more students. Using this technique, we try to make students aware about how they can be benefited from studying in our institute.

What do you think should be RGIPT's top priority over the next 10 years?

“Our focus would be on increasing research facilities in our institute and tie ups with more industries”

Development of the institution depends on growth on multiple fronts, so prioritizing a few of them would be challenging. However, some of the areas which need higher attention are increasing industry collaborative research output, enhancing RGIPT's global presence, and brand image.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

“Be patient and make best use of every opportunity that comes your way”

Currently, the global ecosystem is under transformative stages, where technology plays a very important role. Aspiring students are at the center of global transformation. I see plenty of opportunities in technology, business, public life, and many other areas. The young, dynamic, and aspiring students can choose entrepreneurship in their area of interest. I would like the young and aspiring students to recall the quote of Dr. AJ Abdul Kalam: "Thinking is the capital. Enterprise is the way. Hard work is the solution."
