Mr. Venkateswar R has been working as the Training and Placement Officer of Sri Indu College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad, Telangana. He started his career in 1999 as System Executive, and later worked as a Territory Delivery Executive, Manager and Regional Director before joining SIET. He has done M. Sc. (IT) and AMIE (Mechanical) as part of his academic qualifications. He has a wonderful 23+ years of dedicated experience in Campus Placements in IT and Education Segments. We encourage our faculties to enroll themselves in MOOC courses in the emerging areas along with courses offered by NPTEL, Coursera, Spoken tutorial etc. Additionally, our faculty members are offered FDPs/ STTPs, workshops, industrial technical training and special lectures to increase their competencies and build their technical fitness.

We offer skill oriented training programs, seminars, webinars, company specific training, expert talks and guest lectures from time to time with the support of industry experts to share their experiences with us and make our students aware about the corporate culture and expectations from them.

What challenges have you faced while inculcating this program in your curriculum?

"Maintaining curriculum in line with ever changing Technologies is challenging for us"

As per the curriculum reformation policy, we update our curriculum every two-year to include new industry oriented programs and discard the old ones. But, due to rapid change in the industrial technology revolution, maintaining the curriculum itself has become our biggest challenge.

Our students are currently working on real time research projects which are industry oriented and productable projects and this creates more career opportunities for them when they work in collaboration with top industries. We also offer paid internships to our students during their course duration.
