Overall, my responsibility is to bring the best learning opportunities for them to make them industry-ready.

What keeps you connected with the education sector?

“Cordial engagement with students and opportunities in craft field”

I believe a good teacher needs to be a crafty storyteller and it is definitely not less than an art to deliver lectures and spread your knowledge and experiences with the young minds of our country. Being in the education sector provides an opportunity to keep practicing the craft and evolve with the students at the same time. And RMC is unique in terms of approachability because management is always ready to address teachers' and students' personal and professional concerns. The dedication and willingness of management to do whatever is required to provide better services to students are inspiring.

How does the curriculum of RMC ensure the future preparedness of students?

“Our industry partners are directly involved during its draft and update”

Our college faculties and staff do rigorous research and analysis of industry requirements and expectations while drafting and updating the curriculum. And if we found any gaps, we take the support of industry experts and senior academicians, as their suggestions provide deep insights into ever-changing industry needs. We have made hands-on labs and research projects mandatory for students every semester.

How do you bring in a practical and industry-oriented approach towards subjects?

“By arranging guest sessions and professional visits for them”

We organize various kinds of events to enforce a practical approach in subjects, and through these events, we get to know the desires and experience of our industry partners and it ultimately helps our students to upskill themselves. We also conduct industrial visits for our students to enhance their knowledge about the field that they are planning to work in.

Apart from the curriculum, which approaches do you use to teach your students?

“I use PowerPoint presentations including videos and audio to educate them”

I have adopted numerous methods to teach my students in a different way, and for this during classroom teaching, I use effective PowerPoint presentations and include videos, audio pieces, print ads and graphic designs in it. Because we know that our minds capture concepts in a better way when we study through videos and images instead of just simple text.

What makes your college unique in comparison to others?

“Management is always ready to help and support its students in every possible way”

The one thing that differentiates Reena Mehta College from other degree colleges is the direct involvement of management in various initiatives for the betterment of the students. The kind of liberties faculties and students enjoy in terms of experimentation and initiatives is unparalleled.

What are some of the biggest challenges you see in the education field in general?

“Students changing requirements as per their skills and passion”

In general, I feel the dynamics of the entire academic industry is changing. The demands and expectations of upcoming students are completely different from the earlier students. To live up to that change in expectation and blend in new dynamics of new education policy is the next big thing.

Any suggestions which you would like to give to the current youth and aspiring students?

“Invest your time effectively and be focused while studying”

Firstly, I would like to advise my students that don’t compare the theoretical value of a subject with its practical implementation, both are equally required to fully grasp any subject. Secondly, I would suggest them to focus on honing their skills instead of just getting a degree.
