Internships at LPU are a blend of summer training, full-term optional/compulsory internships, on-the-job training, study tours, and skill enhancement events and workshops. The university exposes students to real work environments and provides an opportunity to apply their learning in real-life situations. LPU Students have gained on-site learning experience through industry internships in corporate giants like Cognizant, Microsoft, Infosys, ABB, ISRO, and many more. LPU Live Industry Projects

Lovely Professional University offers various opportunities for students to work directly with the industry on Live and Entrepreneurial projects. These industrial projects help students to get insights into the latest trends in the corporate world to become competitive and ready for the real world. Some of the projects scaled by LPU students are listed below:

LPU @AutoExpo: LPU Students presented revolutionary auto designs including the world’s first family solar car, a driverless car, unique bikes, a smart hybrid car, etc alongside automobile giants like BMW, Mercedes and Maruti at the Auto-Expo. Students created a huge 41 feet tall metallic structure composed of 12 cars called ‘Metal Boy’. It was to be the main center of attraction at Auto Expo 2014.
Solar Powered Car: LPU Students designed and built a solar car that claims to do away with costly fuel options and promises the "highest mileage on solar energy".
LPU Hotel: The students of Lovely Professional University run and manage a full-fledged hotel with a functional kitchen, restaurant, 25 rooms and all possible amenities. The hotel usually hosts university guests and parents.
Live Business @The UniMall: Students have access to a fully functional 10-storey mall where they can host and run their businesses. Hundreds of students have started a number of restaurants, shops, cafes and outlets.
Mobile Apps: LPU students are continuously developing Mobile Apps for various in-house activities, events and online services that are popular on Google Apps. These include LPU Touch, LPU ClassAlert, Verto, LPU Marks Calculator, LPU Calc, LPU-Time Tabulation, LPU NotMe and the list is endless.

LPU Internships

LPU Placements has recently set an impressive record of placing 383 students with packages of INR 10 LPA to INR 64 LPA. Similarly, the university has grown in providing internships to its students. LPU has tie-ups with major companies to offer summer internships to students. LPU MBA students get the chance to give 3-4 interviews with different companies. Along with this, the university ensures that students get the Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) from the companies they’re interning with. The internships are not mandatory. Students also have the option to do off-campus internships as per their choice.

How does LPU Internship work?

LPU invites companies to the campus for internship interviews.
Conducts special training for students to prepare for interviews.
Provides on-campus internships within the LPU Departments.
One on One training with LPU mentors during the internship program. Mentors help students to perform better in their internships.

LPU Summer Internship Placement

Many students of the LPU are placed under the Summer Internship Placement Program. As per the Summer Internship Placement drive of 2020, the highest stipend stood at INR 80,000.
