BITS Pilani WILP Eligibility criteria

BITS Pilani WILP has a set eligibility criteria for all the programs offered. Candidates must be hired professionals with a B.E. / B.Tech. / MCA / M.Sc. or equivalent degree and a minimum of two years relevant work experience within HCL to be eligible to apply. Applicants should have a basic understanding of programming and a strong background in Mathematics. The table below mentions eligibility criteria required for some of the major courses:

• Aspiring candidate must be employed in a relevant field and possess the necessary academic credentials.
• The institute looks for people who possess necessary computers, laboratories and other physical facilities. 
• Final offer will be based on the applicant’s academic achievements, work experience, work profile, mentor’s profile and profile of the employing company.
• The Admissions Cell examines applications submitted and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy before making a decision.

• On selection, BITS Pilani WILP will send the offer letters. Candidates are required to accept the offer by paying the Admission Fee (INR 16,500) and the Semester Fee for the 1st semester (INR 42,800).

BITS Pilani WILP Application Process

BITS Pilani WILP application process includes both online and offline formalities. Candidates meeting all the eligibility requirements can apply for admission through the official website. The candidate must follow the below-given steps to fill and submit the application form on or before the deadline:

• Visit the BITS Pilani Online application Centre and create your login unique email id and password to access the online portal anytime.
• After logging in, the screen will show 4 essential steps for completing the process.
• Begin with Step 1- Fill / Edit and Submit Application form. In this step, select the program of your choice, fill the details and submit the application form.
• Move on to Step 2- Download Application PDF copy. This will download a copy of the application form.
• Step 3- Pay Application fee. Pay the application fee of INR 1,500 via Netbanking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card.
• From the downloaded application form, note down the application number for all future references.
• On Page 3 of downloaded application form, there is a section called ‘Employer Consent Form’. Complete the Employer Consent form and get it signed and stamped by the organisation’s HR or any other authorized signature of the company.
• On page 5, there is checklist of enclosures/ Attachments. Make photocopies of the documents mentioned in the checklist.
• All the marksheets and certificated submitted must be self attested.
• Step 4- Upload and Submit All required documents. One-by-one upload printed application form, Mentor Consent Form, Employer Consent Form, and all mandatory supporting documents. The accepted file format for uploading are DOC, DOCX, PDF, ZIP and JPEG.

Once the application form is submitted, the admission cell will scruitnize the documents and intimate selected candidates via registered mail id. The confirmation for admission comes within two weeks of the application submission. The selection status can also be checked by logging in to the online application portal.

Application fee for at BITS Pilani WILP can be paid online via debit card, credit card, or net banking. The amount charged of INR 1,500 is non-refundable in nature and is mandatory to pay at the time of applying.

BITS Pilani WILP Course Details

BITS Pilani offers Work Integrated Learning programs (WILP) to working professionals. The curriculum of the program is divided into four semesters and can be completed without taking a break from work. Classes for all the programs are conducted on weekends or after office hours in an interactive online mode. 

Course study of the program helps students to explore in the fields of Data Science, Data Engineering, and Advanced Analytics. It assists students in mastering important abilities like as mathematical modelling, machine learning, AI, product development, and scripting languages. Apache Spark, Apache Storm for Big Data Systems/Real-Time Processing, Tableau for data visualisation, Tensorflow for Deep Learning, and different Python packages for data processing, machine learning, and visualisation are among the tools and technologies discussed. For experiential learning, the institute uses tools such as Simulations, Online Labs, Case Studies, Group Discussions, Assignments, and Project Works.
