Dr.P.Jagadeesan is the Professor and Head of the Department of the Vels Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies. His Overall experience is more than two decades amongst 23 years of rich Teaching experience and 6 years of Research experience. His area of specialization are Finance, Taxation, Human Resource Management, and Marketing. He worked on the project Determinants of Migrated Adolescent Worker’s Life Satisfaction. He is furthermore the Director of Extension Activities where the NSS team has been awarded the State award for the Republic Day parade in the year 2018.

Best Practices are being offered to the students with the teaching methodology. We give PPTS, and Open talk practices for the progress of the students.

What are some valuable insights of the program offering at your campus?

“Good electives and credits are applied to our programs”

B.com is very valuable to students. We provide 140 credits as per UGC referred norms. Some of the credit systems are 2 hours -2 credits, 5 hours -5 credits,6 hours – 6 credits, etc. By means, students are allowed to choose their electives and secure good credits for their aggregate.

“Provide comfortable teaching methods for faculties from the campus”

Coordinating with the Students, Teaching becomes actual motivation. Slow learners will be identified and extra classes will be taken to make them understand the concepts better. How do you tend to build an industry connected with this program in Vels Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies?

“Organize industrial visits, and other programs to students from campus”

During the Program, we arrange Industrial Visits to students. Two weeks ago, we have sent our students to Kerala for visiting places like Tea estate and Munnar. Industrial visits help students to enhance and understand the purpose of the visit.

What are the types of projects that the students are working on through this program?

“Economic Development, and Women Capitalists are worked by students nowadays”

Our students are working with unique projects nowadays. The types of Projects include Study of Digital Agriculture, Economic Development, and Women Entrepreneur.
