VIT Jaipur

Being the Principal of VIT, what is your philosophy of leadership?

“Facilitation of educational development of students and faculty”

My philosophy of leadership is to motivate my faculty and students to achieve academic excellence in their respective fields and to plan their career well. Career planning is an important aspect of a person’s academic journey and I motivate my teachers and students to do it well under my leadership. My leadership style is more of a facilitator where I facilitate the growth of my students and teachers.

How does the curriculum of VIT ensure the best practice of industry?

“Outcome based learning and hands-on workshops”

To ensure the best practice of the industry, the curriculum is being updated on a regular basis as per the industry requirements and the New Education Policy 2020. Our curriculum incorporates practical learning, conceptual learning and project based learning to keep students familiar with real world situations. Also, internships, workshops and seminars are an integral part of campus culture that promotes exposure.

What do you think should be the institute’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“Well-known repute through better education quality”

We believe in growing through quality enhancement. The top priority of the institute is to make a mark of its own in the field of education and become one of the most popular choices for higher education in the state. We are looking forward to enhancing the infrastructure, technical facilities and learning process for the students to achieve the same.

What do you see as VIT’s greatest strengths?

“Keeping the quality of education at the highest level”

The greatest strength of Vivekananda Institute of Technology is the philosophy and the motivation of faculty and the students for taking the flag to greater heights. We have been working relentlessly to upgrade the quality of education that we provide to the students and hence embark on a great education journey for each and every student.

What are some of the biggest challenges you see for higher education?

“Dissipating quality education at low finances”

The mushrooming of colleges is the biggest challenge for higher education in general. Reducing the fees comes with compromising the quality of education we impart and that has been the biggest challenge so far. We must develop creative pedagogies that don't impact the quality of education and at the same time are affordable and accessible to all.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth?

“Knowledge is the topmost asset”

The current youth must always remember that knowledge has great powers and one should strive for the knowledge and success will follow later. The main focus should be on acquiring knowledge and using it for the benefit of oneself and the society as a whole.
