Dr. Sumeet Khurana is a Director in the Shivajirao group of Institutions in Madhya Pradesh. He worked as a Dean of Management, Acropolis-2, Transnational Knowledge Society Group of Institutions, and Devi Ahilya University, Indore. He also became the visiting professor of various Management Institutes at Indore, including Institute of Management Studies, Prestige Institute of Management and IGNOU. He has published and presented research papers on various management issues, such as Financial Innovations, Weather Derivatives, Islamic Banking, and Knowledge Management.

What keeps you connected with the Education Sector?

"Passion for teaching, and providing quality education for students connects me with the education sector"

I have been in the education sector for the past 22 years. It is a great journey so far. One of the factors connecting me with education is Teaching passion. After completing my MBA, I got a job in a bank but since I always love to teach and educate students. I get a sense of satisfaction when teaching students. They are doing well in life after completing their MBA, which is more satisfying to me. 


What are your roles and responsibilities for students in the Shivajirao group of Institutions?

“To ensure personality development, and educational needs of students”

My primary role is to be responsible for the well being of institute, student, teacher, society and a nation. A director is responsible for creating an environment for the overall development of pupils. I am responsible for creating a curriculum that helps students in their personality development apart from educational growth. We make sure that the faculties are motivated enough and have a fair understanding of the campus philosophy. Hence, they can match up with the educational needs of a student. 


How do you strategize key programs for the marketing and administration of campus?

“Provide quality education and facilities for students in our campus”

Several institutes have opened in recent years. We invite students who want to study, gain knowledge and achieve overall development. One of the key players of campus are students who are studying here. They are our brand ambassadors considered in the marketing part. We provide quality education and facilities to students.

Any suggestions do you like to give to the current youth and aspiring students?

“Develop skills and strive for betterment”

My suggestion for pupils is to understand yourself. Youth carries the legacy of a very old civilization. Always strive for betterment, and ready to learn. You need to develop your skill set and utilize strength. All these are beneficial for your career and national development.
