How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

I am always available for work throughout the week. A special "Mentorship Program" is run by the College for all students. Any academic or personal issues that students are facing can be discussed and resolved through regular meetings.

How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects?

To meet the contemporary requirements of society and industry, courses are always reviewed by academics and industry experts. The students are exposed to field visits as well as webinars and seminars conducted by experts in the respective areas.

What are the interventions you bring in apart from the curriculum to train the students?

Each student wants to perform well and learn, but the methods they use may differ. Each student has a different approach when it comes to learning. As a result, we emphasize self-regulation strategies for metacognition, collaborative learning, peer tutoring, and effective feedback. We can help them become better learners by providing them with the time, support, and tools they require.

Do you have any extracurricular activities to enhance the skills of the students?

Civil engineering involves looking at what is happening in nature from your eyes and experiencing it in daily life. We follow an evidence-based pedagogy that accelerates the progress of our students and helps them to develop in all possible ways. We groom the students in all possible ways by exposing them to various curricular and extracurricular activities.

How did you train your Faculty to deliver programs to students in the best possible way?

Our college firmly believes that teachers play a major role in a student’s life as they not only teach them but also train them to be socially responsible individuals. And to do this in the best possible manner, teachers also need to be updated with the happenings of this dynamic world and students' requirements. Therefore, our college organizes professional development programs, hands-on training sessions and workshops regularly to ensure that teachers stay aware of new technologies, educational practices and industry standards. In addition to this, teachers collaborate with various educational communities and groups to stay in touch with the latest happenings of the outside world and also to equip themselves with methods of dealing with different difficult situations.

What valuable advice would you like to give the students for their future?

In our interaction with youth today, one concern that we experience is, they want results in a short amount of time. If they don't get the desired results, they get restless and lose patience. Students should always keep in mind that there is no shortcut to success. Keep working on your fundamentals and create a solid foundation by always aiming to exceed your limits.
