What is your leadership philosophy?

“Create conditions for teachers and students to thrive with active learning using participatory methods”

The simple leadership philosophy is about creating conditions for teachers and students to thrive with active learning. It is using participatory methods for emanating purposeful activity-based outputs. This will help assessments and evaluation systems to consider tangible works based on actual results and activities. Hence, it encourages co-creation and inter-disciplinary collaboration. There has to be more joy and fun in doing, failing, and redoing. All students must get equal opportunities to succeed and sustain in the delight of leadership.

What plans are designing for the NSHM knowledge campus and students?

“Internal assessments in our model gain more traction for noteworthy outputs”

A lot of plans for continuous improvement in our education design and delivery. It involves the physical and digital form of experience to each participant. We have created conditions for extending one’s learning based on choices from the 2021-22 onward session. Students can choose MOOCs, learning engagements under various Centers, additional skilling, and value-added global certifications. Moreover, we have made our internal assessments something special and interesting. The students can look forward to demanding a transcript of internal assessments after their studies. Internal assessments in our new model gain more traction for meaningful and noteworthy outputs. A student’s portfolio looks good for higher employability and a significant portion of theory classes will continue in online spaces.

What is the top priority of campus for the next 3 years?

“Focus on students' dream jobs, higher studies, and entrepreneurship as per their interest”

The top priority is sustaining traditional higher education using appropriate technologies for blended, liberal, ubiquitous, and experiential learning. A primary factor is higher job readiness in the future work scenario. Our syllabus has to be transformed as a pro-employability open system for industry, community, university, teachers, and students. It recommended desired knowledge and skills before the start of a semester. We focus on students' preparedness for dream jobs, higher studies, and entrepreneurship as per their interest for the next three years.

How do you plan on the immense knowledge you have gained over the decades?

“Ensure the growth and sustainability of the traditional higher education system with modern approaches”

People like me might have been relevant in the past. Education presents an uncertain future that requires continuous learning and evaluation. I have started doing more consistently during the COVID-19 alarm. I am more empowered to attempt new experiments to bring about changes in the broader interest of higher education, institutions, and the participants. I plan to ensure the growth and sustainability of the traditional higher education system with modern approaches.

Any suggestions do you like to give to the aspiring students?

“Be happy and celebrate every small success”

Always be happy. It is your driving attitude. We all are born to do different things. It is necessary to celebrate our small successes. List five things that you would want to do or achieve by 2030. This declares your vision. Choose what you want to be and not what somebody wants you to be. I hope you get the result fast.
