Being a Faculty of the Department, what are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

“Providing academic support, lead and mentoring the students are my great responsibilities”

Being a faculty of the department, It is a very challenging and at the same time very crucial job. Representing a college or university in different conferences is a toughest task. My duty is to provide academic support to students and be very active on phone and email. You would receive doubts in emails or texts or calls. Have to be present to answer all of those. Attending Faculty, departmental meetings and voicing concerns or providing suggestions for improvement. We develop professional logistics to improvise student performance. Another responsibility is to guide, lead and mentor students in research projects. We evaluate, monitor and mentor student academic progress. Create, innovate or implement career-enhancement programs and activities. Supervise or support teaching assistants. and support functional activities of departmental committees are my primary duties. Assess, review and evaluate student activities and progress are other essentials. 


What do you see as the greatest strengths of Chaibasa Engineering College and how it can be enhanced?

“Excellent trainers, and development of the best environment are the greatest strengths of campus”

The biggest strength of the International school of management is its own mission and vision. Good education system, recruitment of excellent trainers, development of the best environment and accelerating the education system of Bihar is the exact mission of our campus. To enhance the strength, we should believe in its belief and at the same time contribute our fullest. It can prepare the roadmap easily.


What are the interventions and approaches you bring in apart from curriculum to train the students?

“Guide practices, explicit instructions and training approaches for pupils are the greatest strengths”

In one lesson, a faculty may use many different training approaches with different end goals. They can know about their students and develop their thoughts. We can follow the concept of explicit instruction to focus on frequent questioning and guided practice to help them to learn a topic.


How does the department enhance the skills of the faculty and prepare them according to the industry standards?

“Provide training, interpersonal and lifelong learning skills for students”

A faculty’s skill enhancement is related to the development of his/her competencies. The competence will enable and empower him/her. It includes training or practice in various techniques, approaches and strategies such as soft skills, counseling skills, interpersonal skills and lifelong learning skills. It will help in planning and conducting a proper assessment.

When you came to the campus, what was your vision and how are you trying to achieve the same?

“To educate students to be successful, ethical, and life-long learners is our vision”

Our vision is to educate students to be successful, ethical, and effective problem-solvers. Our life-long learners who will contribute positively to the economic well-being of our region and nation. We prepared to tackle complex challenges to face the world.to achieve the same to follow the concept of summative and formative assessment.


What are your views upon the placements and higher education about the students from Chaibasa Engineering College?

“To provide training, and other internships for students' futures”

It has been found in research that one in three interns do not work. We can be attributed to any reason such as they do not want to work. They lack skills or they do not know what to do. The deficiency can be overcome by conducting time to time competition among the students or by checking in which areas they are interested. We can also check and implement some ideas to bring them forward. 


How do you strategize the curriculum and how often it gets updated to make it befitting for the students?

“Improve teaching technique, and strategize the curriculum for pupils are our greatest strengths”

As a faculty, we should strategize the curriculum in a formative and summative way using ongoing feedback from students. So, it will be easy to improve the technique of teaching. We can also improve the strategies by answering some following questions such as what do we expect our students to learn? or How will we know they are learning? and What is the output of their assessment analysis?

What valuable advice would you like to give for students to have a prosperous career ahead?

“Set new goals, be yourself and step into your career”

Never be yourself and being yourself is a myth. Always try to better yourself. Make yourself worthy of your success. If you are too comfortable in your job or in your career, You won't think of setting new goals. Challenge yourself, every single day. Career should always be an incremental graph not a stagnant one. So does your life and grow every day.
