Dr Gajanand Gupta is the HOD (Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering) at Arya Group of Colleges, Jaipur. He received his B.E degree in electronics and communication in 2008 and M. Tech in 2011. He has received his Ph.D. in Information and Communication technology in 2020. He has published various papers in national and international journals and conferences. His research interest is image processing, signal processing and machine learning. He has also written a book on Digital Signal Processing.

What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

Being the HOD of the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department, my roles and responsibility are as follows:

  • Addressing challenges faced by society and the academic community, as well as the Electronics Industry.
  • Help students to learn, grow, and achieve their goals and excel in their professional careers.
  • To provide a conducive environment for the students to develop the best analytical and practical skills and apply them to real-world problems.

How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

“Establishing the CRT Cell for students development has played a huge role in this”

According to me, the four years (Eight Semesters) B.Tech Course in Electronics and Communication Engineering offers quality learning to students. The students of Arya College have been able to secure campus placements in many reputed companies including both private and government sector organizations. Some of our top recruiters are LandT, Havel's, BOSCH, DRDO, BHEL, NPCIL, etc. 

When it comes to higher education, M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering is one of the preferred options for students. But we suggest students pursue a master’s program after taking some work experience as it doubles their career prospects.

We also have the best labs like SIP Lab, VLSI Lab, Analog Communication Lab, PCB Lab, Electronic Devices and Circuits lab, etc. The existing strengths can be enhanced by having trained faculty members and lab instructors who can provide the best explanation to the students.
