What are your roles and responsibilities as a faculty towards the students?

“Convert a student’s weakness into strength”

We conduct an induction session for initial 15-20 days for the first-year students who join the institute to give them an overview of the syllabus, brush up on their previous knowledge and develop systematic thinking for pursuing the course. After induction, we conduct classes as per the syllabus prescribed by the institute and conduct practical sessions to impart practical skills to the students.

How do you establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty members?

“Using Bilingual approach to teach in a better way”

The institute conducts personality development classes at the beginning of each session and before placement sessions to groom students and prepare them for the outside world. Extra classes are also being conducted at regular intervals for weak students to help them perform better and excel in their studies.

How do you prepare students for the competitive world?

“All round development of students”

We have signed MoU with Sidicul Manufacturing Associate situated in Haridwar which comprises 60 different companies, which help us to prepare our students to gain an understanding of the industry and make them industry-ready. From the first year only, students along with their study undergo training in the companies and after their studies end up with good placement.

What advice would you like to give students to have a prosperous career ahead?

“Choose between job and higher education”

Talking about engineering specifically, students must think about their career ahead during their study and plan accordingly. They should wait for their engineering to complete before planning their career. We follow this ideology very strongly. That's why we conduct industrial visits and training on a recurring basis so that the students can get the gist of the industry and decide clearly whether they want to pursue their career ahead or they want to continue higher studies.

Do you conduct any workshop/extracurricular activity to provide career guidance to the students?

“Inviting eminent professionals for guest lectures”

We have a counselling team which comprises very experienced corporates and industry-oriented persons who conduct workshops and seminars very frequently to guide students and make them aware of the career options.

What are your department’s greatest strengths?

“Sympathy between students and teachers”

The sort of trust, responsibility, dependence and emotionally supportive network that permeates in the department of the board, is maybe the foundation of the department. Also, in case we can keep up with the norm or take it to a higher level, then, at that point certainly, the center capability of the department will increase manyfold.
