Which is the best option among these; an MBA at Christ, development studies at TISS, an MBA at ICFAI Hyderabad, or rural management at XIMB?
I am a second year MBA student at Christ University Bangalore. I can only tell you about my university.
In all honesty, the campus life of Christ is pretty hectic. The senior students conduct personality development programs for freshers, right after they join the university. After this, the committee selection process starts.
The students have to strike a balance between fest/event management, placements, internships on the one hand, and huge academic load on the other. But with time, they learn to manage everything well.
For MBA students, Christ is known to provide top placements in the Marketing sector. The students receive plenty of placement opportunities in sales, and few opportunities in core marketing, media & advertising, and digital marketing as well.
Christ has a good reputation and a strong alumni network for those who wish to work in the Sales and Marketing sector after their MBA.
Which college is better for an MBA (in terms of education and placements), IMT Nagpur or NIT Warangal?
The following are the reasons why you should pick IMT Nagpur over NIT Warangal:
- Placement Statistics: IMT Nagpur has an average salary of around 7.64 lakhs against 5.56 lakhs for NIT Warangal. This is a significant difference and indicates that IMT Nagpur has a better track record when it comes to placing its students in good companies with decent packages.
- NIRF Ranking: IMT Nagpur is ranked 70 in the top 100 B-schools according to the NIRF Ranking, while NIT Warangal does not have a spot yet.

IMT Nagpur also has good faculty, student-run ventures, and flexible courses, which can provide a holistic experience that MBA aspirants are looking for. These factors can contribute to a more enriching and fulfilling MBA experience, which can be as important as securing good placements.
Which one should I choose: GLIM one-year program or SCMHRD MBA?
The executive MBA program of Great Lakes Institute of Management is one of their flagship programs. If you have two or more years of working experience, go for a GLIM executive MBA.
Many prominent recruiters like Accenture Strategy, which offers a package of around 32 LPA, and Tiger Analytics, which provides a package of 18 LPA visit the GLIM campus. If you have time to do a two-year MBA program and are fresher, then you can join SCMHRD MBA.
What are the disadvantages of getting a PGPM degree of 2 years from IBS Mumbai?
IBS Mumbai, a top Indian business school, provides a two-year PGPM (Post Graduate Programme in Management). Before enrolling in the program, analyze its pros and cons. Some drawbacks:
- Cost: IBS Mumbai's PGPM program is more expensive than others in India. Tuition, living expenses, and other expenditures may make the program unaffordable for some.
- Competition: Admission to IBS Mumbai's PGPM program is difficult. The Institute receives many applications, and the selection process is tough, so not everyone can get in.
- IBS Mumbai's PGPM program is general management, hence students may not be able to specialize. Consider a program that specializes in your career goal or interest.
- Location: IBS Mumbai is in Mumbai, which might benefit or hurt students. Mumbai's traffic and pollution can make living there expensive.
- Crowded Classrooms: The PGPM program at IBS Mumbai has huge class sizes, making it hard for students to gain individual attention from professors. Students who need extra support may find this difficult.

How much academically intense is the MBA curriculum at IBS Hyderabad?
The MBA curriculum at IBS Hyderabad is heavily focused on case studies. The academic department designs these case studies to help students improve their decision-making and interpretation skills. The case studies are distributed to students every week, and they are considered to be an interactive and comprehensive learning tool, combining both objective and subjective data to give a thorough understanding of the concepts.
You will find that your day is filled with back-to-back lectures, presentations, case study discussions, guest lectures by prominent speakers, and other skill development activities. In your first semester, you will have 8-9 subjects and lectures from 9:30 AM to 6 PM, which may make you feel that you have little time to relax.
Ultimately, it is up to you to make the most of the academic curriculum and resources provided to you.
Which college is good for a PGDM and in terms of ROI, ISBS Pune or Jaipuria Institute of Management Lucknow?
The return on investment of the ROI depends more on the candidate's performance than the institute itself. The primary step should be to focus on achieving a high CAT score around 95+ percentile and apply to the top B Schools. If you fail to do so then you can consider the aforementioned B Schools.
Assuming the average package to be around 8 LPA, out of the entire batch around 20 students will secure a package of more than 8 LPA, in some cases maybe 12 or 14 LPA. Now compare these packages with the fees of around 9 Lakhs and also take into consideration other expenses, your investment will be around 12 lakhs. This is great for someone who received a package of 14 LPA, but for those who received low packages, the ROI is very less.
So, it depends on how well your profile, grades, and performance in the interview are!
Which program should I choose, IIM Lucknow PGP or IIM Ahmedabad FABM?
IIM Ahmedabad would be a better choice for those who are interested in Agri-business management. There are a few reasons which are specified below to choose one over these two prestigious institutions in India:
- In 2023 IIM Ahmedabad ranked #1 among top business schools in India.
- Financial Times lists the PGP-FABM program at IIM-A as one of the top 5 courses worldwide.
- International tie-ups with European Business School, University of Cologne, ESSEC Business School, France
- It offers an average placement rate of over 70%. Last year's highest CTC on offer was INR 33.83 LPA and an average salary of INR 21.49 LPA.
- Develop the participants' leadership skills and instill in them a dedication to morality, ethics, and community service.

What do you think about doing an MBA from Amity School of Business, Amity University, Noida?
My cousin who used to be a student of Amity University is all praise for the same. However, he advises that before you finally make your mind, you must decide what your interests are and what institute you want to get admitted to.
The campus of Amity University, Noida has five institutes:
- Amity Business School
- Amity Global Business School
- Amity International Business School
- CII – School of Logistics
- RICS
The record of placements of Amity University, Noida is quite enviable. The average salary package is 6-7 LPA. During the final semester, my cousin and several and several batchmates of his applied for off-campus placements as chances of hitting jackpot is palpable if applied for off-campus placements. Not everyone would like to start off with a sales profile. Few got a sales profile in campus placement.
What should i choose? XLRI or Ms in MIS from University of south florida?
It is a highly subjective question and largely dependent on what you want to do. Having said that, here I am concentrating on XLRI because it is a top MBA college in India, whereas USF is not in the creamy layer for MIS schools in the United States. If you are interested in a particular job role and believe that USF will provide you with a better opportunity where you can still apply.
You should always pursue something that you are passionate about; MBA or MS degrees from prestigious universities are both excellent choices.
If you want to go into management and learn how all business processes are integrated, an MBA from XLRI is a good choice. If you want to hone your computer or IT skills, then MS is a better choice.
Which is better, doing a PGDM in marketing from IMT Hyderabad or a PGDM in retail from BIMTECH, Greater Noida?
The Post Graduate Diploma in Management has gained traction over the recent years and courses in marketing, finance, operations, HR, etc are being offered by top-tier colleges in India and so does IMT Hyderabad and BIMTECH, Greater Noida.
