What are the reviews for the NMIMS Mumbai hostel for girls and the Sanghavi hostel for MBA girls?

AG
Akriti Gupta Posted On : June 2nd, 2023

NMIMS hostel facility includes two full-fledged hostels and three rented residential accommodations that are taken care by the university in Mumbai, separately for boys and girls. The students admitted are given preference on a first come first basis; and preference is given to students from outside of Mumbai to the hostel. The girls' hostels are provided with all the modern amenities, good nutritious food and purified drinking water facilities. Most of the rooms are triple sharing and have a separate washroom inside the room. The rooms are big and spacious with box beds. Each bed is provided with a study table, chair, and a personal almirah. The only odd thing is that despite being MBA hostel, it has a curfew.

You cannot get inside the hostel after 11PM unless you have a valid reason with enough proof.

Does Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai accept GRE for admission to their MBA?

No,NMIMS Mumbai does not accept GRE for admission to their MBA program. The NMAT is mandatory to take. Most Indian B-Schools accept GRE or GMAT scores for their one-year MBA programs and in special cases, the admission team at NMIMS may consider an applicant who has taken the GRE if they like the applicant's profile. If you have a good GRE score, you could consider applying to ISB, which accepts GRE scores for its MBA program.

Which college is better for MBA; Loyola, Tapmi, Welingkar or IBS?

You should give Loyola or TAPMI the highest priority among these options. In the event that the Mumbai campus is chosen, Welingkar will be your second priority. In the event that Hyderabad is the winner, IBS will finish in third place. In any other case, it will be quite expensive to keep it.

How do you rate getting an MBA from a new IIM like IIM Ranchi or IIM Trichy? Should one wait a year and try getting into better B schools instead?

AA
Anamica Agarwal Posted On : January 20th, 2023
Ph.D from Indian Institute of Management Ranchi (Graduated 2017)

IIM Ranchi's MBA placement drive for 2022 saw 77 companies visit the campus for recruitment. The highest and average packages offered during this placement drive were INR 42 LPA and INR 16.62 LPA, respectively.

IIM Trichy's final placement report for 2022 showed that the institute attracted over 110 industry giants who offered a variety of job roles in Sales & Marketing, Finance, Consulting, IT & Analytics, Operations, and HR. The highest and average packages offered during this placement drive were INR 34 LPA and INR 17.01 LPA, respectively.

There are several ways to compare the quality of MBA programs at new IIMs such as IIM Ranchi and IIM Trichy. One method is to look at student performance and perception as reflected in B-school surveys. You can also try finding information about the experiences of graduates from these institutes. Another way to gauge the quality of an MBA program is to look at the performance of students in competitions, such as recruitment challenges, quizzes, paper presentations, and management fests. While these events can provide insight into student abilities, they may not necessarily reflect the capabilities of the faculty at a given institute.

To get a better understanding of the faculty of an MBA program, you may want to consider the learning approach of the program. A good MBA program will have faculty members who have both studied the subject area extensively and have practical experience in the field. You can also look at the clubs and events related to marketing at the institute, as well as any visiting faculty, guest lectures, workshops, or training that have been held in the last one to two years. A reputable institute should make this information publicly available.

What is the average salary package for an executive MBA in global management from IIM Calcutta?

PM
Praveen Maxter Posted On : December 16th, 2022
Studied at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (Graduated 2017)

For a professional who has undertaken IIMs' Executive MBA, their salary varies from about INR 18 lakh per annum reaching up to even INR 90 Lakh per annum or more. However, this answer is definite. To determine the average salary package, however, let’s generalize the question. Salary varies from batch to batch. Also, campus salaries are higher than applying on your own. To analyze salaries, you need to break them up into segments. In the 3 to 4-year segment, the average could be around 15 to 18 lakhs. In the 5 to 8, it would go from 15 to 30 and above 8 years it's specific to your experience and fit. All figures I have quoted are CTC.

So an average salary analysis will not help.

How academically intense is the MBA at IIM Calcutta?

AS
Anurag Sharma Posted On : December 15th, 2022
PGP-PGDM from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (Graduated 2019)

The curriculum at MBA Calcutta is pretty intense. This is because the students here are equally talented and tough competition is required to maintain the rigor. Some features that make the curriculum at IIM Calcutta extensive are:

  • Seminars

  • Practicals

  • Laboratory sessions

  • Live projects, simulations and role-play activities

  • Occasionally classes are taught by industry experts from peer schools or from abroad

  • Consistent revision of the course

All these make IIM Calcutta one of the most academically intense institutions in India. The competition here is tough because of the batch size as well as the rigid grading system.

I have 85.5, 79 ,82 in 10, 12th and B.Tech. Is my profile too average for XLRI, and do people like my profile exist? Or I have no chance to enter in an elite college like XLRI?

NP
Naina Pathak Posted On : May 31st, 2021
MBA Finance & Marketing, Xavier School of Management (2016)

Your profile is apparently not as bad as you are considering it to be. Nonetheless, you are clearly eligible to be admitted to XLRI, given that you actually have good scores in your XAT examination. You should not stress about your past percentages.

There are candidates with somewhat similar profiles, and it is not quite a major constraint in the selection procedure. XLRI is one among very few institutes that do not necessarily dismiss a candidate for low scores in their academics and rather judge them after a complete test on their personality.

But, there is one thing you should have an idea about. It is that, during the summer placements, the first shortlisting is generally conducted distinctly on the basis of these percentages, (basically, because several recruiters naturally have to go through more than 50 resumes in about a day or two, making it quite usual to shortlist on the basis of academic records. It is rather very common.)

It is not that you won’t get any chance in the shortlist process, but your shortlists might usually be fewer than most of your peers. Thus, it clearly depends on how you prepare for it, or your skills to achieve the same. Hope this clears most of your doubts.

I am planning to take admission in PUMBA for MBA Finance. How are the placements and what kind of roles are offered to core finance students?

TA
Tejas Agarwal Posted On : May 2nd, 2023
Student at DMS PUMBA

Choosing PUMBA for an MBA in Finance is a decent choice. Due to the fact that this college's MBA graduates' average salary is 8.10 LPA.

During their recent placement drive, PUMBA received about 122 businesses, and their highest offer to date was 18 LPA. Their tuition fee is also a little expensive given the campus area (414 acres) and the location in Maharashtra.

Im confused between two colleges for MBA/PGDM . 1.Bimtech Noida 2. Great Lakes Gurgaon. Which one should I opt and why.?

AJ
Arshit Jain Posted On : April 26th, 2023
Know a few things about MBA

Management institutions like Gurugram's Great Lakes Institute of Management and Noida's Birla Institute of Management Technology are well-known. The courses, teachers, placements, facilities, location, and costs would determine which to choose.

Here are some information about both colleges to help you choose:

Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurugram offers a one-year PGPM and a two-year PGDM. The institute's team has extensive academic and business expertise. Great Lakes Gurugram has a large alumni network and provides quality education. The school has a 95% placement rate and a 10–11 LPA average pay. Modern classrooms, libraries, computer labs, and sports facilities are part of the institute's infrastructure.

Birla Institute of Management Technology, Noida offers a one-year Executive PGDM and a two-year PGDM. The institute's faculty has extensive academic and business expertise. BIMTECH Noida is known for its superb education and strong student network. 90% of students are placed, and the average package is 7-8 LPA. Modern classrooms, a library, computer labs, and sports facilities are part of the institute's good infrastructure. Courses are cheaper than at Great Lakes Gurugram.

Both BIMTECH Noida and Great Lakes Gurugram have pros and cons. Look at your money, where you want to live, courses they are offering, and salary packages.

You should go to Gurgaon's GLIM as it has good placements than BIMTECH.
