How is Pumba College for an MBA?

TA
Tejas Agarwal Posted On : April 18th, 2023
Student at DMS PUMBA

The well-known government institute PUMBA offers MBA courses in many specializations. PUMBA's quality depends on the student's specialization and goals.

PUMBA has an excellent ROI since it gives quality education at a lesser cost. Extracurricular activities assist in creating personality at college. PUMBA is a laid-back school where students can pursue their interests.

PUMBA may not have as bright a student body or as profitable employment as other top B-schools. As a destination for newcomers, PUMBA may not suit established experts. PUMBA may also offer a less rigorous education than India's leading B-schools.

Before enrolling in PUMBA, you should consider your specialization and career goals. PUMBA offers good ROI, a pleasant setting, and quality visiting faculty. If students want top placements and intensive study, they may have to look elsewhere.

How is Amity (Noida) for an MBA? How is the hostel facility? Is there any ragging problem?

RK
Rubali Kaur Posted On : May 7th, 2021
Studied B.Tech from Amity University, Noida (2011)

The fee structure of Amity Noida is relatively low as compared to others. In case you are curious about the placement in various flagship programs, it is decent. One of the best companies that are reputed around the world visits the Amity (Noida) campus. The highest package received by the recent batch at Amity was 32 LPA.

In the hostels at Amity (Noida), you would enjoy the experience thoroughly. Be it, staff or even any other basic requirement is fulfilled at once. Every service, in terms of general stores, food, stationery, etc. is available. Overall, the rooms and halls at Amity (Noida) are very clean and well-maintained.

Institutionalized practices and provisions do not allow ragging at any cost. The college is very strict about it and it does not tolerate or entertain any such case. Even if you feel intimidated by any senior at the college hostel, feel free to reach out to the authorities concerned with the hostel or bring out your complaint by directly walking into the hostel director's office. Your complaint would be considered and resolved instantly.

How good is XIMB BM for a person with following academics, 10th-95, 12-92.8, and BE (2017)-85, and with work experience of 6 months till April? Should one join it at this stage?

KM
Karishma Mohanty Posted On : May 3rd, 2021
MBA Business Management, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (2020)

With such good scores, no one would suggest you join XIMB though it is a pretty good college and reputed too. You should give a shot to old IIMs.

To get into old IIMs, you must score at least 99+ in the CAT exam, but if you have a score of 95+ also, you will land up in one of the new IIMs. Apart from the IIMs, there are other B-schools as well which are pretty demanding and rank high in MHRD ranking such as SP Jain Institute of Management, MDI Gurugram, etc. These institutes are also in the same league as old IIMs.

In a nutshell, you should continue with your job and give the CAT exam to score the 99+ percentile. You will be able to get a better college than XIMB. If you are capable of getting something better, why settle for anything normal. Just re-think upon it and have faith in yourself.
