The students are under constant pressure to produce the best results. This causes most of them to suffer and eventually drop out. They face burnout and stress, which is why they take such a big step.
Another reason is that some students enter the IITs with unrealistic expectations. These are obviously not met, so they choose to drop out. The water resources have limited scope considering the Indian employment scenario. If you are giving preference to the subject then join IIT Bhubaneswar.
