What is the current scenario of placements for VLSI in IIT Roorkee and IIT Hyderabad?
I am a student of M.Tech VLSI Design at IIT Roorkee. Here are the placement details for each of these colleges in this domain-

According to the 2022 placement report, NITIE offers an average CTC of around INR 25.49 LPA. The highest CTC was INR 49 LPA. During 2021 placement drive, the average CTC was INR 19.5 LPA. Other than placements students also got internship offers. The average stipend was INR 1.53 lakhs.

The final placement season of 2022 saw opportunities offered in a variety of industries. Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI), Consulting, Consumer Products & Retail (CPR), and Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) hired the most students. The total number of recruiters was 200+ recruiters with 30+ new recruiters. IIM Indore's highest package offered was INR 49 LPA whereas the average package offered was INR 25.01 LPA (6% increase in Average CTC), and the median package offered was INR 24.09 LPA (6.6% increase in Median CTC).
What kind of package can I expect from NIT Raipur if I have a 98 percent in the 12th exam (CBSE)?

The University attracts a limited number of core companies considering the competition amongst various branches of Manipal. The main campus offers more number of seats and also observes a higher number of core companies as part of their placement drives comparatively.
But, in the past five years, the automobile department of Manipal University Jaipur has managed to attract world-renowned companies like Ashok Leyland, BMW, and Mercedes Benz to be part of their recruitments and have offered students with internships and placement opportunities.

How many companies have visited at VEL Tech University for placement?
One of my friends recently graduated from VEL Tech University and according to him, IT usually gets more companies than other departments such as MECH, EEE, AUTO, and AERO.
A few students get placed in the core sectors; however, these core sector companies have limited vacancies, and they want students who are experienced (meaning they have held an internship or completed some projects), and they don't want to waste time training freshmen.
You don't need to look for a job to get better placements; instead, you should master abilities in a specific field better than everyone else, then apply to the firms/companies, and you will almost certainly get hired.
Here is the highlight of the recent placement drive at the institute.
- The placement average for the institute is 89%.
- The average CTC offered by the institute is 17 LPA. While the highest CTC offered is 28 LPA.
- The major recruiters at the institute are Dell, TCS, Infosys, Amazon, Byju’s, etc.
- Almost 75% of students participate in internships.
The institute has a great placement cell that attracts a large number of enterprises with higher packages. In addition, twice-weekly career guidance workshops are held. Professors with advanced degrees are assigned to teach online tests, which are administered under the supervision of a knowledgeable teaching team.
What placement offers (with LPA) I can get apart from mass recruiters like TCS in the IT branch of Heritage Institute of Technology?
One of my friends graduated from Heritage Institute of Technology and according to him, the placements for Heritage Institute of Technology are not that great.
IT students receive an average CTC of around 3-3.6 LPA. Around 78% of students get placed each year. The highest CTC offered last year was 8 LPA.
Other than TCS, some of the major recruiters at the institute are Infosys, Wipro, Cred, Mindtree, Vedanta, etc. A few core companies also visit the campus placement to recruit IT students.
How are the placements at Thapar Institute in Patiala?
Thapar Institute in Patiala hosted over 360 recruiters during the 2022 placements, resulting in a total of 1,653 job offers being presented to the students. The placements for the year saw 1,505 students being successfully placed, indicating a positive trend compared to the previous years. Despite this, the number of companies visiting the campus has been fluctuating over the past three years. Out of the total job offers, 1,357 were single offers while 148 were multiple offers.

Which college has better placements for CSE, RVCE or PES University?
RV College of Engineering (RVCE) is definitely better than PES University. The below table shows the placement stats of the B.Tech programs of both colleges for the year 2020.

- Infrastructure - It is one of the oldest private engineering colleges in the state with lush green and well-maintained campus. Though it is not very big, it is located in the center of the city.
- Faculty - The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:60 making learning quite easy. Most of them have done PhDs from elite institutes. The curriculum is well balanced and all the necessary equipment and lab are in proper shape.
- Other - The college has the biggest IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) chapter in the whole of south India. The annual fest UTSAV is also very famous in the region.
