Though both PES University and NIT Patna don’t have a sufficient reputation in the industry, NIT Patna can be a better choice because of the NIT tag. Having friends study in both the institutes, here are some things they mentioned -

So, these two institutes are not worth considering. There are several options for engineering aspirants in India like IITs, BITS, IIITs, and various other private institutes.
Yes, a B.Tech degree from Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) is acceptable to foreign universities. As KSOU is recognized by UGC and the degree is valid for applying to foreign universities.
But, various countries have different rules and regulations, criteria, etc. for the recognition of universities. Most of the popular foreign universities have certain standards. Therefore, your statement of purpose, your academic record, your age, financial status, etc. will play an important role in the final admission.
One of my cousins graduated from LNCT Bhopal. According to him, the college does not really care if you bring a laptop or not. It is important only if you don't have a computer system at home.
If you're from CSE or IT departments, having a laptop becomes very important, almost necessary.
The laptop is though not mandatory in the classroom, but you should have it for the provision of self-study, projects and to learn and practice new programming languages. Also it is extremely necessary for practicing coding.
There are strict actions taken so that students do not use laptops or cellphones in the classroom. If it is for a class project or research, you might be able to use it then in a classroom. If you plan not to buy a laptop, you can buy a PC for your house.
Choosing one of the NITs can be really tricky sometimes considering the excellent education they provide across the country. However, a few things should be taken into consideration while making a decision. Some of the major elements are listed below.
Ranking: Ranking is a major thing for many students when it comes to choosing the proper college for your future.
NIT Nagaland ranked 91st among the top engineering colleges in 2019 across the country.
NIT Manipur ranked 89th among the top engineering colleges in 2019.
NIT Mizoram ranked 90th in 2020 and NIT Raipur ranked 67th among the top most engineering colleges in 2020 by NIRF.
Placement:
Top recruiters of NIT Nagaland are BSNL, BPCL, Wipro, Amazon, and so on. The highest and the average salary package for NIT Nagaland students remains to be around 9 LPA and 4.5 LPA.
The highest package for NIT Mizoram students remains around 17 LPA and 17.5 LPA for NIT Manipur students. Top recruiters are IBM, BEL, Infosys, and more.
For NIT Raipur students, the highest package is around 36 LPA and the average package is 9 LPA. Top recruiters are Capgemini, Cognizant, Infoedge, Reliance, and more.
More than 90% of students get placed every year by these companies according to the reports.
Fees and eligibility
Students who are aiming at enrolling themselves for a B. Tech in Mining Engineering in NIT Raipur have to qualify in the JEE Main examination. \
In order to pursue B. Tech in NIT Nagaland, students have to pass the same examination as well.
However, in order to pursue an M. Tech, students must qualify the GATE exam before applying. The same criteria apply for both NIT Manipur and NIT Mizoram as well.
Other facilities:
Apart from these factors, all the NITs have good infrastructure and the quality of education is unquestionable in all the NITs. All faculty members are extremely well educated and helpful. Hostel facilities are also available at reasonable rates inside all the campuses.
No matter how difficult it gets while choosing your proper engineering stream and the perfect college for your higher studies, make no mistake to do sufficient research about it beforehand. Your passion and expertise should be taken into consideration while choosing your stream since it will help you evolve as an expert in your field in the future.
No, first-year B.Tech students do not get a single occupancy hostel room. In fact, no government-funded Institute of National Importance will provide you a single occupancy room or AC room at least in the first year.
The rooms are very clean and if you keep them that way, then you won’t have any problem. The rooms are spacious enough as well. In the first and second year sharing rooms will eventually make your group studies more fun. In the third and fourth year, only you will get single occupancy rooms.
The fee for NIT is very less as compared to BITS Hyderabad/Goa. BITS Increases its course fees by 15% every year.
However, in BITS Hyderabad/Goa, you can apply for a loan and easily avail it. Around 20 to 30 percent of the students apply for it.
If your net family income is less than 8 lakhs per annum then you are eligible for the merit-based scholarship based on the CGPA at BITS Goa. You can apply for the merit scholarship even if your family’s net income is more than 8 lakhs per annum based on the CGPA. Financial support is given to deserving candidates on the BITS campus.
Out of the two branches, Civil Engineering from CUSAT is the better choice. The following reasons will justify the choice.

The placements of both the branches are bad. Civil Engineering packages are not excellent across India, but CUSAT is a preferred choice.Civil Engineering is decent for the students if they want to work in core companies. However, if you are choosing EEE, then you can appear for civil services examinations and a job guarantee will be there.
